My Lenovo K8 note updated with Android ver 8.0 on 11th May 2018 - Much before covered in the story as July 2018.
However, since the upgrade, I am facing problems in the phone :
1. Battery draining fast.
2. Phone heating up.
3. For picking up a Phone call, the Key has to be literally pressed & dragged upwards as compared to earlier slight slide towards right side.
4. Cannot type a message properly as the keyboard provides alternate characters whenver a key is pressed for an alphabet.
5. The Google keyboard is being used - However, most of the times pressing of a key results into double press - as can be sensed by the vibrations upon pressing - even if a light touch is tried.
6. There is a delayed response on the applications.
7. Sometimes applications DON NOT RESPOND.
Can Anybody suggest me how can I revert back tot he Android 7.1.1 version and make my life back to normal?
Or
If this issue is also being faced by other person, what is the resolution to the same - Kindly suggest

Lenovo is so incompetent in updating Android that it already makes a point of admitting this in advance.
And it's dangerous the Zuk Edge, Zuk Z2 and Zuk Z2 Pro do not get.

Yes, why should Lenovo take so long, especially when the phones run almost stock Android?! The good news is at least they run bloat-free Android.

Basically, I definitely agree with the article. And yes it is really interesting (weird), why Lenovo will take all this time to update a phone (series) that is/are based almost on stock Android. But to be positive, let's say that at least better than not/nothing.

lol, you want to know why they takes so long for stock android? Because they were releasing 32bit OS instead of 64bit.

Many in our 6-7 friends circle had bought lenovo vibe k5 3gb version hoping to get updates. This year we all exchanged the lenovo phones for redmi-4s prime.

They r always bad at providing updates... Their so called flagship phone great vibe x3.. Which was no doubt superb phone... They never supported that.... Not even provided a volte patch update. ..not even a bug fixing update... They completely dropped support for a flagship phone... Never buy a lenovo if u want updates... They never give what promised ... That's why ditched them forever... Won't buy a lenovo again no matter how great the hw is... As vibe x3 was....

Screw them..entire k5 series received no OS upgrade but were promised OS upgrade during launch. K6 series received an OS upgrade albeit with more bugs. With k8 series, they ditched their shitty vibe UI for stock Android. So I expected faster updates which was also promised by them during launch. Once again Lenovo proved that we shouldn't believe their promises.

I hope what they provided is the due date by which all devices worldwide would be updated. Otherwise there's no difference between this and the old Lenovo.
