Guys, While this phone is pretty good in terms of updates for India, I cannot in good faith say that for the Global Version.
I'm from Singapore, and we are still stuck on the AUGUST Security Patch. With no news on when we'll get ANY updates.
For such an experience to happen and have the Android One branding its pretty disheartening and even Shameful on Xiaomi's Part.
Let this serve as a warning to any potential buyers OUTSIDE of India. This phone (for now) DOES NOT even come close to the Andriod One Promise of being secure and up to date.

AnonD-472794, 18 Oct 2017Nokia 6 got the 5th October security patch level within the... moreProbably they had to work with mi to fix some bugs ,hence late update ,A1 had quite few bugs than Nokia 6 ,so you get faster updates with Nokia 6 ,but compare with Moto g5 plus which is still stuck with March security patch this is still better deal
