The Pixel Visual Core custom chipset is merely an extra ISP that is most likely manufactured by TSMC (or Intel). Snapdragon's processors aren't the best for photo and video. That is why it is important that Samsung incorporate an ISP (or dual) with way more processing power for photo and video. Snapdragon's every next generation pf SoCs are only a minor improvement in terms of image and image processing speed.
Samsung is stuck with 4k @ 30p due to the slow Snapdragon 835's processing. The Exynos 8895 can do 4k @ 120p.
If Samsung can use this speed to improve dynamic range in video as wrll as add more bit depth (8-bit or 10-bit 4-2-2), it could outdo the competition substantially. Also, much faster processing could help with rven better HDR for photo (and video).

Right now, I guess most people are only looking forward to the high speed camera sensor that Samsung is planning to manufacture.

Hmm, I wonder if the squeeze sensors added to the side bezel at all? Compare the 2 XL to the V30. Even the Pixel 2 got very slightly wider than the Pixel 1.

Can we have the repairability scores of other flagships to compare?

I hope I never have to open my XL. :)
