The only thing I know is that I would not buy an iPhone X for even 200 USD, because of iOS. Conversely, I would choose a Mi A1 over an iPhone X, if both are offered as the only possible choices at USD 1000, again because of the OS.
My opinions may be a left-field choice, but they are valid in the entire universe of opinions. I consider iOS to be demonstrably inferior OS as far as user friendliness and openness is considered. And while iOS gets updated often, even in version 15, it would be unlikely to be anywhere as good as Android is today, given past trends.

Want a fact, what platform... more1. Sure. And you get access to a lot of people willing to spend a lot of money on phones. Definitely high priority if you want to put some green in the pocket.
2. Apple didn't come up with the app store concept nor was first to implement it. It is currently severely lagging behind Google and M$ in implementation, even if it came out earlier.

Want a fact, what platform... moreIt was, and is, my opinion, *after* using both simultaneously. Why are you getting so worked up about somebody's opinion?
Also, to me, it does not matter who came up with some innovation first. If apple innovates, kudos to them. I will wait for the android OEMs to.copy it. Because i sure am not going to get an iOS device for these innovations. I would rather wait for these innovations to filter down so i can buy them in an android phone.
