Just wanted to post today received a 147Mb software update to my , J700T1 device running Nougat 7.1.1. - New / enchanced features & stability update, bug fixes. Now running ver: J700T1UVU3BQK3. Dont see anything new in the Feature list - still missing are the 'Always On Display', Smart View, Data Saver, so on ....

Been running Nougat 7.1.1 in the last few weeks now, and I can definitely say it brought back new life to the phone. Battery last longer, boots faster, lots of improvements in memory, storage - makes you feel like its a high-end midrange. So far, only this variant benefited from this major OS update. However, this Nougat 7.1.1 update did not come with some features like the 'Always On display', 'Smart View', 'Secure Folders' and 'Private mode', found on the newer J7 running Nougat. 'But I do want to mention this J7 2015 -all variants - no longer has warranty. So rooting it makes a lot of sense, go for it, no worryies on 'bricking' it. Definitely will keep it as an active back-up phone, along with my S7-edge, which btw still on 7.0, and will get OREO by next year.

J701 should get Oreo update next.

mean while lg g4 flagship is stock on android 6.0 only Poland and korea has the 7.0 nougat too bad . j7 is mid range ... poor support lg

Wish I never updated! My clean up apps dont work and charging now takes forever! Have my fonts went small and others are huge and I cant fix them. The people at TMobile stores know less than me and I am no longer able to block the robo call numbers.

i got the update a few days ago. runs great, it feels like a new, high end phone. the only thing is that the fm radio is still blocked!!! why????

I think that is the reason why it got included for Nougat update ver 7.1.1. WiFi alliance certified it for Nougat - READ link, https://www.wi-fi.org/product-finder-results?sort_by=certified&sort_order=desc&categories=4&keywords=J70.
This may very well be the last OS upgrade for original J7.
I've downloaded the 974Mb software last Sat, Oct.21 EST, and I do say that I am beginning to enjoy this J7 as well as it should be. Feels and runs like a premuim phone, New UX, less memory, takes less storage for app install, quicker boot-up and runs faster, Multi-View Display, Ultra data savings, in new Settings. New 1-click Device Maintenance similar to S7, only features missing are 'Always On display and Smart View' which are found on S7 and above flagship phones.

Nice job T-mobile . you can say that when Global Version update to 7. because it's 2nd update of this J7 or j700t ... which was from android 6 not from 5.1 like global version. that's ok they only release only 1 big update. but security patches show how good they were ... hope get up to 3 years of update

Everyone applause them for providing 2 years support even on their cheapest devices, (ok it's no J1 mini prime but this is great nevertheless)

Are the other varants J700H,J700F and other variants getting this update or is this os just for the carrier based ones and not the unlocked ones.
