It is robbery. Absolutly abusive. As an example, one of the most common reparations is replace a damaged usb-board. Yoy can find replacements for 25-30$ delivery included. Now ad the work, open the phone with your thermal machine, clean the adhesive, replace the board, put the new adhesive and close the phone. 45 minutes max. 30$ being expensive? so at most 60$ and their are asking for 549$? It's an insult to the inteligence. Now I understand why people criticize those who buy Apple claiming they do so to boast how much money they have more than for another reason. And that their products are for clumsy with good wallet.

If you replace the screen once, you've already saved $51 (App care $199 + $29 = $228 vs $279 ...$51 less). So it's a savings, though not huge. However if you're clumsy and get the screen replaced 3 or more times, then yes you're ahead.
As for the other repair costs - $549 is shocking! And your first repair with App care still costs you nearly $300, which is still damn gnarly. And if I had a phone that needed multiple repairs I'd be demanding a replacement phone anyway.
All in all just another way that Apple keeps itself as the most profitable company on the planet

also applecare+ is actually well worth it. 200 bucks and for 2 years you get a screen replacement for 30 bucks.

Just Nokia 6 alone surpass any iphone when we talk about hardware quality and engineering. People think that just cause is smaller has to be pricier. The truth is, any surface book tab or what ever cost way more to manufacture then this small crapp, and funny, it costs the same. Only an icore 7 cost more then an iphone production, not to talk about the screen and oh so many other things. The funny part is that this devices are not really a trend among reach people but mostly among average joe. And nope in a lot of countrys it is not a sign of wealth, it is just another slab that everybody can afford but not everybody is so dumb to buy one.

Only good reason to ever buy their phone now is if you are super rich and you don't care about whatever the repair cost is and if you own their stocks. Anything else is just being a sucker and that include being a fan.
