Force Majeure, 29 Oct 2017Mediatek SoC? :-(Probably.
Until MediaTek solves the issues with their LTE-Antennas, includes Bluetooth 5, and better GPU's, I'd stay away from them. Not to mention, they also bully OEMs in China, release products with broken drivers and don't fix them, or provide any source code or documentation. Basically the epitome of petty and entitled chip provider.
I would say the QSD 625 is now the king of the low-end, and wouldn't want it on a phone that costs more than US $200/€200. And the QSD 636/660 is now the king of the mid-range and it should be on phones priced US $250-400/€250-€350. Above that and you should be demanding a QSD 835/Kirin 970/Exynos 8895/Apple A10.
