The usual non-Apple users who are freaking out about minute details in comment sections lol. Somehow problems on actual Android phones like Pixel 2 are not important, just on the iPhone, which they will never buy. Lol. Chill out guys.

Wow you need permission from Apple to do preview. Are we still living in communist country? Of courses these reviewers are bias toward Apple bc they are under Apple's payroll. Look ma! There are hundreds of unknown YouTubers don't have iPhone x in hand's and are not allowed to do preview. If they do they will be boycotted (fired) by Apple like they did to an engineer recently.

AnonD-368020, 30 Oct 2017I am only looking forward for that face recognition thingy ... moreNo. Manufacturers will IMPROVE the facial recognition that has been on Android for years and then 2018 will be the year of "under-screen fingerprint scanners" so most (probably ALL) flagships will have both options (FPS and Facial Recognition [+ Iris Scanning for Samsung]) whilst the iPhone X will be the ugly duckling with no FPS....

Apple should give us an on/off option to black out the areas on the side of the notch to make it look like a more uniform status bar..

The selling point is face ID which is facial recognition that I have on my phone three years ago.
Other than that is just another iPhone with an upgraded Chip set.
I had that UI set up with my Nokia n8 an app that dose the same exact thing that the iPhone X is doing now.
That being said I will wait for the iPhone Xs

That one guy in the video about notch "i really didn't even see it" this pretty much shows what going to happen, the notch really won't be much of an issue. You get used to it very fast and for return you get huge into your face screen. Notch is only problem for some because it's new design, If all phones would have same it wouldn't be any problem and next year when we see more phones like that, no-one will complain.

Robbie, 30 Oct 2017I thought face recognition was fairly old. Isn't iris scann... moreThe usual "face recognition" just works with a picture of your face, so to say it is like 2D, while Apple's face recognition measures the real depth, so you can call it "3D face recognition".
iris scanning is a method which can or can not measure depth, so if not, it will be tricked by a picture. I don't know if Apple's implementation uses iris scanning in addition to it, but I think not. If those two would be together in one phone, this would give a really high level of security. And if paired with a fingerprint scanner, it would be almost impossible to trick.

Isn't iris scann... moreMost of the times I do not pick up my OP5, I just put my finger on sensor to unlock, see notifications, double tap to lock. Done. No need to even move the phone. I am used to it. I wonder if face recognition or Iris scanner will be that comfortable?

The notch towards the top looks so weird lol. The phone looks good otherwise though and performance should be fantastic with that new chip and Apple's customization. I'm glad Apple is embracing the whole gestures thing when navigating through the UI. That way other companies will pick up on it. I miss old the old MeeGo on Nokia's or the Palm Pre's software that was all swipe and gesture based it felt so intuitive.
