Anonymous, 20 Jun 2011Lol, wise post, but i can't agree you. I have n900 and SGS1... moreI meant "you should be really using..." sorry for mistake.
And i wasn't even talking about games or those benches crap.
Hanging up, waiting for screen autorotation/reapperance, menus to appear, everything is so frustrating once you are used to such faster phones. And Maemo 5 would have needed early a complete redesign. Hopefully that N9 will make you bite your tongue and forget about all that oldie but good n900. Still, i can't bear it anymore personnally. I even tried to clean the whole phone just to get a feeling of "quickness".. fail, off course.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2011Don't lie... Motorola be FIRST with a925 configuration! h... moreso who started using capacitive screen on touchphone? Symbian was first but not best like ipod was not first but it is by far the best. Imagine a world without iphone back in 2007?? You might still using slider, candybar or fliphone with features and winmo 5.0 symbian with resistive screen and nothing like apps store. Now people want to kill ipad too lol

Let me guess: Symbian3, Symbian Anna, Maemo, MeeGo? Just stop, Nokia. Stop bringing out so many devices at once that all have dated operating systems. You have the worse marketing department and your refusal to move on from Symbian is killing you. I stuck with you since 2003 and you're still in that same place. So, I've defected to HTC

Bill, 20 Jun 2011I think most people couldn't care less about 3D on a phone.... moreLol, wise post, but i can't agree you. I have n900 and SGS1.. and SGS2.
Even overclocked my n900 is nowhere comparable in terms of performance to my "Sammys". I don't have to wait for them to load an app like n900, or to wait such a long while for booting/rebooting. And also, that memory management is from another time in multitasking. Installing / uninstalling an app is so painful, i should really be using real 1ghz phone to get a real idea. I'm not advertising for Samsung here, but just kill that n900 crap, it was good yes, but 2 years ago. It aged too fast, i would even prefer any WP7 phone to it.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2011Apples iOS is totally copied and based on Nokias Symbian90 ... moreNo need to find such reasons to convince me, i was being sarcastic to this all Samsung vs Apple debate. I personally hate apple products just due to Apple policy and it's been far older than cellphones area.
Concerning that N9, i want to see real specs, but i wouldn't jump on it since, i'm now waiting for next generation 16/20MP phones. (PS: i don't want to read any what-for argueings after that, crawl back to your caves, ppl wanting to reply to that :))

Looks quite nice but there seems to be a lot of wasted space around the screen.

I'd like to see more phones that can dual boot an OS. A friend of mine has a HTC (can't remember the name) that was a Windows phone, that now runs Android. Choice is good!

AnonD-6663, 20 Jun 2011Nokia fanboys don't get your hope too up because this phone... moreI think most people couldn't care less about 3D on a phone. However, a healthy amount of internal storage is always good, and so are faster, more efficient, multicore processors, as high end smartphones are really starting to replace netbooks and such in a big way.
I have 64GB on my N900 now (that's 32GB internal and another 32GB on MicroSD). It's also overclocked to 1Ghz. So, I'm not missing out on much, in terms of performance.

AnonD-11458, 20 Jun 2011So, Symbian OS is not good enough for the Nokia N9? So now ... morethere're only some guys porting android to n900 that's kinda need time and guys to make it work but if you take a look at the meego act in n900 these days, it's getting a lot nice, fast, better ui now. ssshh,.. don't let mrflop hear it ;>
