for gaming phone, Razer should put another features on it, put good audio on it but don't forget to put 3.5mm jacks, maybe they can put bigger battery and or at least put some faster charging capabilities than other competitor (battery is primary concern for gaming thing), they should implement some further gaming tweaking options, put some exclusive gaming app store like nvidia, android with better UI design not just relying on 3rd party launcher

Hot of course. Never saw a company focusing so much on audio before to top out the gaming on their smartphone. It's really a new thing. I would consider it if it wasn't so big, but asking for 5 inch flagships today is difficult. Just take a look at the pixel 2's horrible bezels.

Anyway, of course hot. Razer did a great move here.

Nokia fan boy, 06 Nov 2017So Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Xiaomi,Huawei,Google pixel an... moreThis is actually a great idea. I hope manufacturers implement this!

Vegetaholic, 06 Nov 2017It is as failure as it could be, if you making gaming phone... moreThe votes say otherwise. And as much as an OLED screen would be nice, I don't believe a 120Hz screen would be possible. Having a 120Hz screen in itself is a feat. Besides, IPS screens aren't bad.....

But yes, there needs to be some games that actually take advantage of the SD835 and other specs, and also the 120Hz screen.

It will fail the same as Essential Phone and when it does, I will get one at $450.

It is as failure as it could be, if you making gaming phone, .make sure you offer essential, like exclusives and some triple AAA titles at least, some top notch proprietary chipset with must have amoled screen. None in this, forget it and let it fail

AnonD-684631, 06 Nov 2017Those who voted not are jealous IOS fanpsI'm 1000% for Android and anything that is open-source Linux/Unix based. The razor is a good phone, I'll give u that, but it's not hot. At least not for me:
                            - NO 3.5mm jack. I'm not an audiophile but I ALWAYS use the headphones. It's called common sense. Nobody wants to know what you're listening to. Most of the times WHILE charging the phone. The fact that I cannot do this with the razor is a big NO-NO. Sony, Sammy, LG, they all have the jack + waterproofing = it can be done.
                            - NO waterproofing. It's almost 2018 and if a flagship lacks SD card slot and waterproofing it is NOT a high-end flagship. Period.
                            - Only gorilla glass 3. If 4 and 5 are better (shatter resistant) why use 3 when it's better only for scratches?! I HATE cases and never use one so I'd rather have 4 or 5 instead of 3!
The only good thing about this phone is the display and the design (I LOVE monolithic design and I HATE round corners - they look sooo cheap).
Again, good phone but not hot. The XZP or the V30 is HOT!

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2017You just listed four features that are both unique to this ... moreDon't misunderstand me, it is a gaming smartphone, because of those extra features, but other than that it is just your typical 2017 high-end flagship

Ir you reach only 60 fps, there jo difference in games if u use 60hz ir 120hz. How u can see smoother ir you see same 60 frames per second? Same, when you reach 90fps but use 60hz panel. In modern high-end android games you cant reach 60fps with SD 835. I use OnePlus 3T, same, when differences around 10% percent Of gflops (same Arch).

This is a great gaming phone! I would buy it in a heartbeat if only they put a gamepad.
Put it side by side with a Moto Z + gamepad mod and this thing would look like just about any other phone out there. Sony needs to realize that there is a market for this things and out a Xperia Play 2, that would put all this half assed attempts to shame.
