Also see what other reviews have to say. A1 is for fools who thinks 2 cameras= 2x better photos and here in India, we have quite a bunch. BTW even redmi note 4 performs on par with a1. And endorsed by Google doesn't mean they have anything to do with optimising it's performance or camera.

2 a1 is endorsed by google. It learnt from it's mistake and won't endorse inferior device now
3 a 430 is a low range processor. It's price needs to be reduced by at least 2k for it to be good

All components are made in Asian countries factories and all of them are built set together like a lego in Asian factories by mostly Asian cheap workers. Mass production.
Design and brand name are different and thats about it. I have octa-core cpu with 3GB ram and 32GB rom device that have droid 7 and some other nice features for under $100
Built quality feels as sturdy as Asus Nexus 7 2013 model. Yes my phone have some cons but what device does not. The big plus on it is that, it has at least 3000mAz battery and the device weight is only 151g for a 5.5 inch screen device. It will work good for me for a year or 2 and it all depends on how clumsy i am with it by dropping it and so on. I dont much care about the OS updates. Or security updates as i am nobody and just a civilian who dont have any secrets that matter to anyone or like work related secrets for corporate espionage to be worth to hack in. And well if you need security that much, then company have there own ways to give you the phone you need and it's not from your pocket that you should be worried about.

It's not going to change anything. It's still a overpriced phone. Nokia has never made a comeback, its just they want to make money with such low specs phone. HMD just want to gain profit without considering customer satisfaction.

Nokia seems to adopt a tick-tock strategy with their phones, similar to Intel with their CPUs.
First the Nokia 8 came in a 4GB variant, later with 6GB RAM and more storage, now the Nokia 5 receives an upgrade.
I wonder if the lower-spec variants will be discontinued soon... I also wonder how the naming scheme of Nokia phones will continue with any new models. For example, will there be a Nokia 6 (2018) or will it be called something else entirely?
