The Mate 10 seems to have pretty extensive water protection, so why does it only score an IP54 rating?

NoToBrandLoyalty, 07 Nov 2017Better to have stated lower IP resistance rating so that id... moreweird reasoning, as far as I know phones with any ingress protection rating are not covered against water damage.

Better to have stated lower IP resistance rating so that idiots don't do stupid testing on their devices like submerging their devices for insanely long periods of time then whining and claiming for warranty that their devices have been damaged. Less liability for companies.

My Question is when will Huawei bring the regular Mate 10 here in US??????
My top two devices right now with 4000mAh batteries or close that are top on my list...the reg Mate 10 and HTC U11+. The reg Mate 10 has an edge cuz of the 16:9AR.
These two devices should be available here in the States asap. If not then it will be V30 or Pixel 2XL.. good phones but don't pack enuf juice. There are a few new good entrants like the Razr phone..big battery n big sound plus top specs.

Probably someone dares to put it to the test on YouTube. It would not be the first time that a phone brings undeclared or inferior protection for marketing and sales. The Pro is the Pro ...
