You see, it's this kind of thing that annoys me about SE and what I think will lead to their downfall..
Think of a product..
Right.. let's make a social-focused phone with facebook / twitter integration and a full-on keyboard...
So... what do you need to access these things...? Data!
Right so what shall we leave out... 3G!
= massive fail
Think a product...
Right, let's make a playstation phone...
So.. what do we need? A great screen! lots of ram! horsepower! a radio!!!
What do we give it? None of the above..
Time and time again Sony just missing the mark and suffering badly as a result..
A social-centric phone without 3G... CRIMINAL... fire that guy who decided that... we're back to original iphone days...

I hate to say this, but as i read one of the yahoo news says, sony ericsson waas now on big financial trouble see the link http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/112989/brands-disappear-2012-247
im one of the fans of SE and always buy their product, all of my handsets are SE, but with the growing rate of korean brands now my favorite cellphone company will bound to close, if SE will channge the way they view and market their products they will easily outbuy the koreans, sony focus on market, what the customer wants, release new updates for your units, release a phone that everyone can afford dual sim phone is quite popular this days, release a budget phone for students,
SE the key is to LISTEN to WHAT CUSTOMER WANTS and WHAT CUSTOMER NEEDS change your strategy not to change the future...

Hmm. SE announcing yet even more phones before they do anything with the Xperia Pro.
For some reason this news annoys me a little. I get the feeling the new mini series (and possibly some of these phones) they announced recently will release before the Xperia Pro does.

I guess it won't be long before I bid goodbye to my Samsung Wave. :-)
I'll be missing Wave's S-AMOLED and Gorilla glass display though.
Hope the price is reasonable, and the scratch-resistant mineral glass will be as good as advertised.

3.3" !!...thats to little for these features...i mean sure the text will look great but i have the same res on my defy and it also looks great too!...i think if they made this phone at least 3.5 or 3.7 it would look much better...also about the water resistant phone...why the hell you guys made it 3.0!! i mean both phones specs are great..but the screen size is what would keep someone from getting one of these phones...not to mention that SE phones are very expensive(at least here in jordan, middle east)and the water resistant phone have small res...im not saying this on behalf of everybody else...but really...se could made these phones better when it comes to screen

I think the conclusion for Sony Ericsson is simple. Stop supporting Google Android (because all Xperia-Android based phones is terrible software made) and get back Symbian foundation to start making Symbian Anna phones. Sony Ericsson won't made it on Android.

AnonD-10921, 22 Jun 2011They promised to update software as long as hardware will s... moreAs far as i know SE has left the Symbian foundation and there is no chance of supporting Vivaz.
If there ever was such intention from SE, they would have supported Vivaz and Satio when they were still hot and selling.
I dont believe they will develope any software for Symbian devices.
I am a Vivaz owner and i cannot trust SE to buy any more of their phones. They didnt care for their clients and i am sure they will do the same in the future. Corporate culture is hard to change.

Guess what people, not everyone wants a giant phone. Some people actually leave the house once in a while and take part in training and other athletic endeavors. Who wants a big-ass phone for that? Not all that long ago everyone wanted the smallest possible, lately, it has gone the other way for multimedia purposes. Now we are starting to see different ones for different lifestyles. How is that the "shits"? Can't believe some people willingly post their ignorance for the world to see.
The Active looks great!

The Active? 3 inch display? Isn't everything else being better on a Motorola Defy (1.2G internal memory to store apps) that was released near 6 months ago?
