AnonD-714317, 08 Nov 2017Fake. this person is using XOutOf10 app on the mi mix 2 to ... moreI just installed the app on my Mate 9 and got that notch, lol, I love Android, where else could I find such an app?
Man, if I were an iphone lover, in public I could say that the notch is not a problem at all, but internally I would be crying out loud, what a terrible solution to deliver a bezelless display.
I would never be able to watch a movie in full screen, always wondering what I am missing behind the notch. I would be totally ocd'ed about it.

Personally not a fan of the 18:9 aspect ratio, 16:9 would be better. However I'd rather keep the screen without any notches in it, it would seriously annoy me when watching video, during normal use I'd probably be okay with it though.
So current Mi Mix 2 design wins it for me.

U can fight over ur bezel-ness however u want, but that wont make me buy the phone lol. I personally think that Sony with his so-called heavy bezels looks way better.

Nononononono just because apple dos it and apple fans buy it dosent meen its a good thing. This can not be the future. This can not become the design every one follows. This is redicules.

I believe this is fake, as the blue camera glimmer looks identical in every photo despite the angle, and is identical to a popular android app that emulates the notch.

This notch make me sick and feel to vomit my dinner, everytime when I watch notch. It makes me feel gross to look. I couldn't imagine in my dreams whats can make me gross like that to look. Its technologicaly grossnes I couldn't imagine. Yes I think that grossnes was hard to create. They maybe did hard job to make it ugly. Because grossnes like that is hard to create, I was thinking impossible, never imagined about it, and its real. They are total lossers of design choises with that notch. Thats why they afraid to changening design all this years. It looks like big step but its total big disasster at once. Im talking about that designed and INNOVATED notch. Sorry to look me and feel like that, its so "notchy thing". Ugly and dissasting. I want to thank god that us sight are not with that notch. It would be hard judgment for peoples.

Essential made the Notch 1st though. Iphone x is merely a modified notch. So it's either the One eyed monster Cyclops or the XMen Scott Cyclops.
PS: I don't actually gives 2 types of shhts. Typed from my 2016 XZ, WAITINGFORMIRAI

Ew just ew. Why can't manufacturers stick with smart symmetrical designs like Samsung, and LG when it comes to reducing bezels instead of these ridiculous notches that cover up content?

It would be silly to have a cutout given that Xiaomi has recently used the iPhone X as a comparison when presenting the Mi Mix 2 in Spain, stating the Mix doesn't have any distractions on the upper portion of the screen where eyes are more drawn to. Now, trusting marketing claims on keynotes, that would be a different topic to talk about...
