What's all this obsession for? Don't judge by the raw figures. Take the screen size into consideration too.
NB: I use an Xperia Z3 Compact which has identical screen characteristics so I know exactly what I'm taking about.

Be... moreWell, if you think that what you want is what WE want, you are wrong. With XZ1 Sony gave me exactly what i wanted as a Everyday Reliable Device, especially that my Z3 compact is dying after 2,5y of hard life.
But for sure for S8 fans this is medieval brick.
Fortunately Sony is one of this rare companies making some small differentiation in all the flat rectangles world.

xOx, 09 Nov 2017is not the matter of want more of the same, the square corn... moreI don't have any problem with my 4 year old xperia sp which is about the same size. Problem is it still works so well i can't justify replacing it yet with XZ1 compact.

it is a very good phone. it's all about usability and fast performing of daily tasks . If you use phone as your fashion accessory then go with the more expensive iphone...not everyone needs huge screens and all tiny bezels. most of you over hype themselves about small things that in the end don't really matter in your real daily life.

I know what i am talking, i already have 3 or 4 Sony square phones and sell everyone because i get piss why i cant hold it without my hand gets tired.

For the design, i admit it looks outdated but for front facing speakers, it's good deal for me. I don't care about the bezel because all phones with bezel less design are look so same.

Because Sony is so outdated design, all the same square corners and nothing really change!
Hope this will change soon, if dont bye bye Sony, like your Vaio brand will be soon in other hands or so since you dont give what we want.

I rather buy the xz1 compact than the iphone 7 or 8, cheaper with better battery life.
