I find that notch annoying when videos are full screen and which end up cutting out the image. Apple could have just not stretched into the notch and just blacked out the two corners, maybe they will maybe they won't. What were they thinking?

And another thing, no one is forcing anyone to buy apps on whatever OS system they are using, so how are you forced??? Wait till you finish primary school, you'll find it a different world outside the playground.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2017That is the kind of stuff i believed in, till i bought an i... moreYup. I was on Android until mid this year, then I switched to a Lumia 950XL, and it's now 6 weeks since I have bought my first iPhone. (iPhone 7 that is)

Up until now, I had no hiccups or lag or errors on anything in iOS. And all areas of the UI look good - I'm a graphic designer and I care for about properly designed stuff.

Also, I have mild OCD, and when I was using Android I was always on the search for a better launcher, complete icon packs, widgets and so on, and I could never find anything to stop me from wanting to tweak the UI. Icons packs never include icons for ALL apps I had on my phone. Custom launchers allowed me to tweak the homescreen and sometimes the settings screens, but the core UI elements remained unchanged. (like pop up windows, dialogs, etc. - which looked like they came from the Android 4.0 era and were big and ugly)
Besides this, there was the occasional lag when using resource-hungry apps, and sometimes apps closed by themselves.

However, since I've started using an iPhone (I never liked them, but bought one because I've used all other types of phones and mobile OSs out there and wanted to see what the fuss is all about) I don't get the urge to change anything related to the UI, and I am pleased by all the eye candy and attention to details in the OS. Also, I did not experience any lag or glitches or apps closing so far.

Your points about reliability and polish are no longer valid, as per my experience. iOS is just inferior, that is all.

And I have the necessary info to back my points up (as a person who uses Android and iOS daily). Do you?

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2017It is 100% objective. Lemme know if you need more details! ... moreAndroid and iOS are not superior/inferior to one another. They're just different.

Android offers a lot of stuff, but the OS and apps are buggy(-er than iOS), the UI (even with custom launchers) is not well designed and it will always look fragmented.

On the other hand, iOS offers less, but it's more reliable, and all elements of the UI are well designed and look good put together.

                        So:
                        - Android = more options; less reliable; unfinished UI/UX
                        - iOS = less options; most reliable; polished UI/UX

                          My Tip: Dont buy it
When you bought it allready sell it as soon as you can.
Any android device do same tricks and tips as apple does.
Any adroid device had these tricks and tips long before any Iphone device.
Any adroid device cost much less on repair apart from Samsung curved screens.
Any adroid device offers free apps to download and a lot of it.
IOS just took money from you for every app you would like to have.
Its not even worth as a gift phone unless you really hate the person you would like to give him this as a gift.
