*exactly* the type of thing that Samsung used to produce (firsts in almost everything regarding phone hardware), pretty much what made her the No #1 on Android ... too sad to see them lag behind...

Exynos 8895 was a pathetic attempt for a SoC and I'm afraid 9810 would continue that sad trend... let us see...

What have apple innovated in recent years and i don't mean just buying a company and using their existing tech. The fact you think apples screen is amazing when it's an old handme down from samsung is laughable. You can adjust the screen settings to be more accurate in android but the fact is most people prefer the "oversaturated" look.

Would also help them with creating an actually useful deep-learning AI system instead of pretend AI that nobody uses (Bixby).
Instead what Samsung went and done? They pre-ordered the whole first batch from that god-awful talentless company (Qualcomm). They.don't.learn. I mean Samsung chips used to *kill* Qualcomm chips, all they do these days is match Snapdragon's pitiful performance. If that's not a giant step back I don't know what is.
I'm not going to support a company that has the capacity to be innovative (and indeed she was in the past) but instead elects to do the bare minimum and even takes some of her innovations back... I.still.don't.get why they do not create a chip of their own like Huawei so that to have a complete control of both software and hardware. They have money, apparently they lack the brains...

and I just mean the GFlops count. I know that in the normal benchmark these 20 cores are way faster. but when comparing pure numbers its the opposite.

3D touch? Samsung built-in in keyboard and most non free Android keyboards are swiping keyboards so vibration will ruin the user experience. I uses Swype in Android. I tried Swype in ios once and it is terrible.

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2017Oh the same display mate which you guys derided when it awa... moreI'm not "you guys". Up until last year I called Samsung screens as the best... Heck I own a Note 4 partly for that reason (best Screen of its time, and close to best up until now).
Then again Screen technology is one of the many things that Samsung grew stale, so others suprassed her.
Remember the time when Samsung was first in ram amount, first in processing power (Exynos 5433 deliciousness), first in screen quality, best camera first in battery (removable), first in function (pen, IR)? Yeah, that was Note 4 ... then Samsung dropped some goose eggs allowed the competition to approach her and eventually suprass her. I still own a Note 4 *because of* how great it was (it's my phablet of choice).
By now Apple plays the role that Samsung used to have. First in processing power (by far), second best camera (behind XL2 alone), best screen in the world, first in function (3D touch, gestures and depth ID), third best in screen-on-time (behind only V30 and OnePlus 5) ... see where I'm going with this?
Either we start bashing Samsung mercilessly to get her act together , or it disappears in a sea of irrelevancy ... the last 2-3 years were disastrous for Samsung. How can you support a sinking ship? If you're truly a fan *demand changes*...

It just faster, but not by much, in general exynos 8895 is fastest smarthpone soc imandroid worlsin CPU and in gpu, sorry your flops does not mean Nothing, cause they both use different architecture

so its coming s9 will be like renamed s8 whit:
1) same 10 nm chip well added word 2nd generation :) but still same 10 nm process. not 7 etc.
2) of course same infinity display.
3) most waited... correct finger print sensor position.
and finally price tag.... believe will be bigger then s8 when released :(

I mean, isnt it weird that GPUs supposedly waaaaaay weaker than the high-end adreno can match it on game benchmarks? And no, optimization will not give you more than 15%
