S730i is currently available in france and was released a month ago.
Concerning the retail price, it's hard to know it cause it's linked to an imode suscription.

Most of people r talking about the recently released phones that they don't have extraordinary features, but we should have 2 remember that there r majority of people who can't afford high tech expensive phones... So that is the only reason Samsung is trying to make phones with rather a high technology comparing 2 those old ones & also with low prices, so that a common man can also avail good fascilities...

To that person who'd asked about 5 Megapixels from Samsung, YES Samsung has announced F700 which has a 5 Megapixel camera & will hit the market at the end of this month... Go & see more about F700..

Harlekkin is right. These phones are not made to impress people with fully-filled features, 5mp camera and design.
Samsung is trying to target low-end phone market to get more consumers and to earn more money.
And one of the phones is a low-end phone but 3G! Samsung is doing me a great favor.
And people who want high-ends, wait until next Cebit, 3GSM and those. Samsung will impress you for sure.

Samsung isn't trying to land a hit every time they release a new phone. They need to MAKE MONEY. Expensive, feature-filled phones COST them lots of money in R&D and production and DON'T EARN them a whole lot because it's a NICHE market. Believe it or not, but not everyone wants UIQ and a 3-5 megapixel camera...
The wider consumer market wants a simple phone, and Samsung has managed to produce cheap 3G - I REPEAT - 3G phones! We are slowly starting to migrate from 2.5G to 3G and these handsets will help speed up the process!

hey i.d-i-o.t-s! if you cant understand was samsung is not that catchy then probably you are using a symbian model or UIQ phones... you're dumd if you compare a symbian, UIQ phones to these babies cuz they're not ment to bend that kind of segment in the market. These are phones for the uncomplicated people (using it for calls, text messaging, and taking few snapshots). If still you can't understand why they unveiled these models to a different segment in the market way behind the UIQ symbian arena, then don't post a comment on this forum cuz your du.m....b. hehehehe

maybe better than another motorola "2b LOSR" phone series, but still nothing special. i don't understand idea of these phones - is there any improvement comparing to the previous models?
samsung: another company cloning their own models, nothing new, still the same. stagnation.

some time back, samsung screens were the best, but i dont know why they are coming with such small screens, motorola just came up with a model which has 2" external and 2.2" internal screen. Even the bluetooth version is 1.2, what they think of the customer-they are fools???

They're pretty functional for a mid range device, though i'm afraid their prices PAR the high-end models of different brands :(
