The feature, however, does have some limitations.

Android anarchism needs to stop now enough of fragmentation.. phones are getting close to desktop level performance and the software is always in shitty state.. people should use their phones atleast 3-4 years or atleast jump 2-3 android base os rather than buying a new phone for each new so called new Newer and much better version of android.. a jump from 6.0 to 9.0 is still worth than buying stuff for each version and wasting money no point

Markobarko, 11 Nov 2017Updates are a Big weak point of Android. Google can't suppo... moreOn the other hand it takes a few more years for new apps/versions to stop working, so i'd say 2 years are enough, you'll have maybe 2 more after that in which your software will be fully functional.

Apple...well they are "better" with updates, but iOS is so crippled updates are much more needed. In Android there already is more than enough functionality so i'd say bug fixes are much more important and even 1/2 year would be enough for that if the company knows what its doing.

Updates are a Big weak point of Android. Google can't support Pixel line on the long run.

I like Android, but l'm not blind.

AnonD-95787, 11 Nov 2017This is very annoying, new OS from Google for every 6 month... moreWhy would they do it, they are getting into the manufacturing business too and they'd love you to replace your phone as often as possible. Plus, they are just evil, so they'd screw you just for the heck of it, without having a specific reason.

This is very annoying, new OS from Google for every 6 months, and you can not update your phone with these new updates unless your manufacturer update it? why these mess with the consumers? Why, we used many OS's before and they have given us 10years support. I hope google and their partners will stop this anarchy and will love the consumers.

They should reduce also the active apps to reduce the ram usage.

Many of the 64GB phones already come with around 10GB used space and that's unacceptable. Unless they adress this issue, anything else is pointless. Manufacturers put too much bloatware, at the same time Android one reserves a separate, 10GB partition so it's no better.
