You have plenty of options if you want a big screen phone, not the same case if you want a compact phone with smaller-sized display.

AnonD-692471, 11 Nov 2017It is not a downgrade, really. http://www.displaywars.com... moreUmm not sure what you mean, from what i see in the link, the 5.0 is even wider than the 5.5 18:9 and the previous A5 was not even 5.0, but 5.2. So it's actually significant downgrade. 5.5 in 18:9 is just ridiculous.

With the new idiotic trend of 18:9, it will be like having a 5.0 inch screen. Definitely a downgrade. As long as you don't always use it in landscape mode (Which nobody does).

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2017The problem you always have with the Galaxy A series phones... moreGood point. Got a feeling that this will be more expensive than the last making the difference between the A5 and S7 very small. They need to get back to 300-350 euros if they want it to succeed and sell.
Bezel less phones should be all about maximising screen space in a smaller form factor. If anything they are getting bigger at 5.5 inch footprint sizes and over 150mm in height. The A3 will probably be the better size but poorer specs.

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2017The problem you always have with the Galaxy A series phones... moreI don't think they will do that since that is reserved for flagship, if they indeed do that, people may be swayed to buy A series over flagship S, because not all people buy phone because of the power(most of them didn't even care) they want feature especially in android realm

The problem you always have with the Galaxy A series phones is that its usually about the same price to buy last years flagship phone and sometimes cheaper. This time around i suppose its different with the screen compared to an s7. Hope they get the A3 (2018) right. by that i mean a nice big screen without the size. i think the A series should have gone dual speaker and camera too. Let the flag ships be the number crunchers in terms of processor power.
