Too bad it doesnt work on my Note 8 cause it can only hold up to 256GB micro sd. Oh wait? I have the 128GB version 6GB RAM. How does it feel to be so poor? Go play with your entry level, mediatek powered phones noob.

Might try Bluetooth for 1 Mbps or maybe 5 GHz wlan( I doubt you'll know what that is let alone have used it but still) . While I'll do it in seconds on my 128 GB SD card which cost me 40 bucks at nearby Walmart. I suppose you haven't seen that. Don't worry I'll show them to you some day

zodiacfml, 13 Nov 2017When will they have expandable storage. SighFor the sake of Back up. right? bruh. grab an Otg unit. back up to a USB. a USB is EXACTLY THE SAME like a SD card. but bigger. (in dimensions. an SD card weighs 3 grams, a USB is 12.
same storage options. and usually a USB is cheaper too.

"Futuristic" gives me less freedom when I can just have everything to myself which is just a lot easier. Get off your high horse for preferring using cloud services, you're not impressing anyone for it.

We all have our preference. Some futuristic. Some stuck in the past. Doesn't matter. Not everyone lives in india where the internet connection is slow.

AnonD-456831, 14 Nov 2017Yep. Cloud don't exist.I'd prefer have all of my files to myself and not having to pay a service to have a certain amount of storage. Cloud files also have risks of being leaked, companies monitor my files. A SD card is just a better overall alternative for backing up files and transferring files

AnonD-715460, 13 Nov 2017My OnePlus 5 also has 111Gb available out of 128Gb so it's ... moreOut of 119 availabiel. because 128 GB in computation terms are 137,438,953,472 bytes in our counting system.
because 1073741824 bytes are really one GB. multiplication of this crazy number by 128 gives 137,438,953,472 bytes. which in conversion back to GB it's 128 GB as promise.
BUT in contrast: 128,000,000,000 bytes as promised in decimal system (because we humans think in decimal terms) are just 119 GB.
plus. it's GB. not Gb. 128 Gb means Gigibit. and since a bit is 8th of a byte. 128 Gb are just 16 GB (gigaBYTE)

AnonD-669148, 13 Nov 2017Is Android so bad now that not even 16 Gb would be enough t... moreLet me explain something.
how much is a gigabyte of the type YOU know? 1,000,000,000 bytes. right?
but a PC, and a smartphone. knows a different system called Binary. which takes: 1,073,741,824
Now. divide 1,000,000,000 in 1,073,741,824? how much you got? 0.93 roughly? awesome.
multiply THIS in 128? got about 119, splendid!
android by today's means takes 8 GB. so substract 8 from 119. and you got your 111 GB of storage.
it's not oneplus's problem. (And I don't have oneplus. been there. too crappy) it's just different points of view's issue.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2017Java emulator crap. Not really. a Gigabyte in binary system is accounted for 1,073,741,824 bytes. since we humans are not accostumed to counting in multiplications of 2 but 10. the manufacturer DID promise 128 Gigabytes of 10x10^9 which are 1,000,000,000 Bytes, but. in the binary system 1,000,000,000 bytes are just 931 megabytes. (take a calculator and see for yourself. not kidding.)
so 0.931*128 does give us merely 119 GB. Android takes space of 8 GB nowdays. SO 119-8 does leave us with just 111 GB. this guy was right.
TL;DR- computers work in binaries, humans in decimal system. get your facts right goatdammit.

But, then again, not all people like to store their files in the cloud, including me. So, yeah, expandable storage is nice. I have a phone with 32GB of internal storage with 23GB of real capacity, which is more than enough for me, I even barely fill up half of it, but I still insert a 32GB SD Card for all my files.
