and that was Bluetooth 2.1 OS windows mobile. got the drivers on XDA Forum.
don't see why there wouldn't be drivers to do the same on Android made by a developer or ported from the S8. You just have to look for it. I'm no longer interested in dual audio so, so I never went hunting for it again.

HTC is doing all right thing to gain trust of customers. its recent devices are all good quality bug and exploit free devices with good support. the 3.5mm jack missing but fortunately i bought HTC 10 18 months ago (i hope by the time i want to upgrade 3.5mm jacks are back to fashionable state again-i saw adapters and they seem very lame to me) and one other thing i want to share opinion is screens. i think all new phones screens are good. i think most important to a phone right now is speaker sound. i mean when you look at mobile devices . screens are FHD,QHD or even 4k. 4GB or 6GB even 8GB of ram. process power of 2.5GHz, 64bit RISK.... these are actually very very good numbers. add to it nvme nand drives(and similar technologies) ultra fast cameras with amazing qualities(i mean they are on par with nice compact cameras and there are interesting dual camera features) but sound devices around, iphone x and U11 are not even sound near a compact 20$ speaker. i know speakers take volume to sound good but i think there should be a solution to improve sound quality(see how they used two cameras to get 5X optical zoom without the need for a deep camera lense)

Rafe Firmani, 16 Nov 2017So, HTC U11 won't have DUAL AUDIO Bluetooth Support like S8... moreAs per the recent news published in gsmarena Bluetooth 5.0 shall be enabled after Oreo update as HTC already had that required hardware but due to release date they were not able to get the certification.

I am also hoping for the same as Bluetooth 5.0 is much more energy efficient .....

So, HTC U11 won't have DUAL AUDIO Bluetooth Support like S8?
                  OR,
if U11 can also have that GREAT feature, how to unlock it?

All this time I waiting of BT 5.0 is dual audio support.
And by Android Authority article, basically there's DENIAL of this....?

On the other hand, Samsung flagship S8/S8+/Note8 is just currently under testing for Oreo in some countries, most likely the official release for a handful countries will be in early Jan and the rest in Q1 March. WTF right.....

Some stuff like Google SMS and Calender now come instead of Sony's apps.
Until the 2017 phones these apps did not come pre-installed.

Anth0ny, 15 Nov 2017have a read https://www.androidcentral.com/bluetooth-5"One last bit of confusion to clear up is dual audio support. The simultaneous dual audio feature is a proprietary feature of Qualcomm and Broadcom and is not part of the Bluetooth 5 standard." Thank you. I've had many arguments with some Samsung users on your previous article about this a month or so ago. They were somehow using that feature as proof the gs8 already supported bluetooth 5 out of the box"

All this time, what I want of BT 5.0 is dual audio support....
And judging by Android Authority article, basically there's DENIAL of this.

I feel cheated with this twisted information progress!

LG superfan, 15 Nov 2017First its their own choice when to update and samsung does ... moreSamsung has so many duplicate apps, but so does Sony. Services like Samsung Pay shouldn't be really that hard to implement too, as does Bixby AI. And even if they implement those things, their software remains the same thing we've come to interpret them in the past; one of the weakest software in Android space with so many lags, bugs, and other performance issues even with the best hardware to run the software.

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2017Who cares about features if phone becomes really laggy?well for start..samsung is the only company making big money on android part..so if they wanted to have updates quick..they had them...it costs money..and since they have records sales..they dont give a dang about updates..while people still buying their shi*. and if they had more updates...people would have their phones longer...and thats bad for their business. so dont defend samsung of crappy apps they put.

i had an update on my htc u11, in the begining of the month with secure patches till 1 october. hope android 8 will come quick to europe (i bought direct from htc website). if htc keeps the promissed of updates (waiting for android 8 also for my htc 10) its the only brand (Besides pixel) that i wil consider. updates are very important for me and quality of the devices. htc ticks both boxes.
