Samsung choose to lower the price of the S8 and S8+ since the majority of sales would go to the note 8. Leaving the sales for the S8 and S8+.
Most people who owned the LG since have a phobia when it comes to bootloops. This kind of problem exist on most LG devices. Which is why it isn't selling well.

As for that video about charging the XV Premium and comparing them to the others, the dude should turn off the battery care and turn on the battery optimisation. I don't own the phone but have one in the house and even I know that test is flawed, it slowed down because it has battery care, it slows down after 60.. smart charge for battery health. Joke test tbh.

How come it takes mor... moreOn your comment about the price drop of the latest Sony flagship, my brother paid nearly £1000 for his Samsung 8+ when it came out & I've been taking the mick mercilessly because in only a few months it's just about halved in price & gone down to £550, even less if you shop around. So what does that tell you about that phone then, are their sales weak? Similarly, phones like the LG G6 can be picked up for just over £300 is that also down to weak sales.

But in many markets the ... moreAnd where's the quick charge on sony? How come it takes more than 2 hours, or almost 3 hours to charge the unit from 0 to 100%? Look at the xperia XZ premium. It takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to fully charge! I have a sony xperia z5 premium dual. And I'm using a 2.4 A adaptor to charge my unit. Yet it takes 4 hours to charge! I went to a nearby authorized sony service center. And what they said? "The cost of repairing the unit is the same as buying a brand new sony device". So here I am. Enduring the long charging time of my xperia! This is my last time buying a sony device! And starting from that day, from what the customer service have said. I vow to ridicule all sony product that comes out with the same design, and same crappy tech!
Oh btw! the xperia XZ premium is the laughing smartphone in the market! Look at this video:

Looking at the price of the xperia xz premium. It has dropped from 800 euros to 500 euros! This is the sign that the sales of xperia xz premium is very weak!
Who cares if they have their own audio tech? Does their front facing speaker smartphone have the edge against razer phone? That has used the entire bezzels as a place for front facing speakers with dolby atmos effect! Check this video:

So against a generic speaker that every xperia has. Does it stand a chance against razer phone? Doesn't matter if its software optimized if the hardware itself isn't design for loudness and audio clarity.
Sony has AR. And is known as AR effect. But that's only a single app. It only has 6 AR included in the app. None of them was interactive nor it was usable! Meanwhile, since ios 11. There's tons of interactive AR apps from the appstore! And all of them can be interacted. So enough with the lame comment. What does it stand against ios interactive AR app?
Why bother having a secondary camera? LOL! Most markets are now making dual camera smartphones. Even the upcoming samsung galaxy s9 smartphone have dual camera sensors and has slow 1000 fps camera! So what's the reason that sony should have a dual cameras?

Sony has own audio tech, why would they pay to use someone else's?
Sony has AR, Background Defocus and BW effect by software? Why bother using more cameras?

Same unique, origin... moreOf all the things you've said. Is the reason why it isn't selling well. Unlike other competitors which are selling well. You forgot to mention the cons of all xperia products such as:
1. Takes too long to charge from 0 to 100% than other competitors. Let's not forget that it doesn't have
2. Same old display with same issues when outside or on an area with too much brightness.
3. Same old short front facing speakers. And the design is still the same from the 2016 models. The razer phone itself is almost a copy of xperia. But has better speaker quality and most of all. It's dolby enhanced speakers. Unlike the generic ones on xperia speakers.
4. Storage wise. Almost all xperia models starts with 16 to 32 GB models. While the flagship models gets the 64GB. Looking on other competitors. They have a lot of 64GB to 128GB internal storage! Even the samsung, asus, and iphone have 256GB models.
5. Even still now. They only design smartphones with single camera module. While other competitors are now designing dual camera smartphones. Let's not forget the LED flash. Major smartphone competitors and even mid tier competitors uses brighter led or even have dual to quad LED flash IC. Xperia on the other hand have low brightness LED flash.
In the end. Who would get a sony device if it has no difference from other competitors?

If Sony is solely using a Qualcomm Snapdragon for their SoC, I will become one of their customer.
I don't care much about bezelless, larger notch, full view, audio jackless, and dual camera trends.
Since the day "thinness trend" and "Megapixels trend" is over a year or two years ago, performance and "user friendly" experience are more important than aesthetic for me.
