Issue with Pixel 2 bootloader unlocking has been fixed by Google

22 November 2017
The problem in question prevented users from unlocking the bootloader as they complained the slider for OEM unlocking was disabled on their units.

someone, 22 Nov 2017LOL ... ios11 has more issues than pixel .. hahahahahahahah... moreWhere have you heard of those "bugs" on the pixel 2? I own the device and every bug you mentioned, I do not have. Seriously!

FYI, the screen issue is only on the 2 XL model, made by LG rather than HTC. Not both. I have the normal one and its perfect and Im not the type of guy who's biased.

I get that people are angry against the 2 XL because of LGs mager f*ck up but I dont get why they are angry against the normal model too because it doesn't have any problems except minor hiccups that new phones always have.

Maybe they just aren't enough informed about the differences between the two models. Idk

Pixel has so many hardware bugs son .. why are u even comparing with software of iphone ?
First ask your pixel phone to display things properly.
ios11 bugs are minor, like some lock screen freeze which were already fixed a month back. Pixel has ridiculous bugs like bluetooth, cannot get alarms working, messages won't work , buzzing sound while talking, display has some million issues .. these are basic features of any phone. It can't even get basics right and they want to sell it for $700 bucks . LOL .. this phone is joke of the year like last year's Note7.

Meanwhile somewhere else, there are probably another 10 new issues found in these overpriced useless pixel devices.

I own the Pixel 2 and it has no problems what so ever. The only problem with the phone is how journalists are so centered over its few bugs that it has. It is shameful.

Can google just release a phone without problems? Seems like the Nexus 5X has been the most reliable in recent years and that was their cheaper Nexus. I had a 6p for nearly 2 years, I downloaded the Android O Dev preview and it caused my phone to hard brick... no fix... completely fked.

Apparently it was an issue with googles kernel used for the dev preview and caused thousands of 6Ps to brick themselves. 3 months went by and the only fix was released by an XDA dev who got his 6P working again by disabling the primary CPU. Resulting in a 60% performance decline. Just angers me that to this day there are still thousands of Nexus users who have been neglected by google. Shame since the Nexus branding was so highly regarded for its software support/updates.

Seems like they were in a rush to launch this. Great phone, but some many issues.

I guess next time they will at least install Android OS and ship it to users...
