24 November 2017
The new software has just started rolling out, and may reach the X Performance in the near future as well.

You see Samsung's Super AMOLED displays on their smartphones? Yep, Sony was the pioneer of that technology, too :)

And their QLED TV? You're right, Sony has been having that for years, named as Triluminos.

Good news about Sony: *You try the very best to find the very smallest flaw of Sony*

    Well, nothing new :)

This is apparently the only thing sony does right. And despite that, it only means they have too few phones they can afford to make quick updates. Sad.

Most of Sony fanboys think that CLEDIS is new, innovation and pure Sony's tech but actually it is not. Samsung has Micro-LED / Direct LED display tech with their Cinema LED display, it's the same thing like CLEDIS.

              Sony better quality, better service

This puts 5 phones under Sony's belt now running the 8.0 update, more than any other OEM. Kudos.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2017I prefer Crystal LED. But is impossible now... Dude Micro LED and Crystal LED is the same thing, Crystal LED is just a Sony trademark that they use for Micro LED display.
At first sony used Triluminos for their Micro LED display then they changed it to Crystal LED and now Sony call it Cledis.

Why the hell they removed "Night Light" aka "Night mode" from 8.0 ? Messing with BRAVIA engine and removing critical system features is serious loss for consumers. I am selling my XZ1.. disappointed and wrong decision :( & Where are adaptive icons ? Again removed that feature too :(

Sony has an excellent track record when it comes to pushing out latest updates to their phones. Having a small product portfolio and near about stock Android surely helps. If only Sony could at least shrink the bezels to some extent, not necessarily jumping on the 18:9 screen ratio of hypertall giants bandwagon and surpass Samsung & Apple on the camera front, they would have my money.
