Google stock android phone should set an example for other manufacturers. But instead $100 phones does better job than these crappy overpriced beta products with full of issues. These are not just software issues but even ridiculous hardware bugs like bluetooth and display. Its a shame google still produces these. They should stop selling the XL model.

With all the on going issues identified with the XL version, I don't think its selling well. Just the issue with its PLED screen is enough to turn people away, just like it will for the LG V30. I feel Google should consider moving hardware development in house so that they can closely integrate their software and hardware, if they really are serious in competing with the likes of Apple. The current model is really a half hearted effort is what I feel.

As a owner of a Pixel 2 XL 128GB (from swappa.com) I can tell you guys, it THE most overpriced phone EVER sold. An LG phone for $900?! LG hardware is a piece of crap. THIS years LG G6 was on sale for $179 with amazon ads.

After I had a Pixel 2 for 3 week I ended up returning it. It would've been a great phone, if it wasn't plagued by issues that are seemingly ignored by Google. My Pixel 2 was randomly rebooting itself, despite resorting to the Pixel Community for help as per suggested by Google. I ran it in Safe Mode, did a Factory Reset, even wiped its Cache Partition, yet still, it randomly reboots. This is an issue that plagues hundreds of users, but since it's just hundreds of users, Google doesn't see it as a high priority.
On top of the random reboots, the device also makes a high pitched coil whine when making phone calls, this is also not a common issue, though affecting hundreds of devices.
Anyone looking to buy a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL should be aware that their device might be plagued with these issue as well. I would strongly recommend waiting for Google to fix these issues before dropping your money on these devices.

Got the new LG V20 for around 400$ couple of weeks ago, now that was far better deal for me than paying 900$ phone that's hardly any better (I don't care about the Snapdragon 835, the V20 runs just fine with the older 820).
With the rest of my money (it still won't come close to 900$) I'll treat myself with a new lens for my camera and a pair of high-impedance headphones to really make use of that Quad DAC and enjoy my music the way its meant to be enjoyed (headphone...cough...jack) :D

Tried the Pixel 2 n store the other week. Totally loved it. Camera was brilliant and liked the size of the smaller one. Even nicer if it had the smooth screen to frame feel like the One A9 which is still my daily driver, beautiful thing it is.
