Like the times Steve Jobs said nobody wants big phones? Or those times they said nobody needed more than 2 megapixels on smartphone cameras? Fact is both platforms are inspired by the other. Like how Sony was the pioneers for water resistant phones but Apple and Samsung gets the credit now, Sony was the pioneers for AR, Apple gets the credit now, also a host of other things which they said they didn't copy, they "perfected".. Huawei pioneered the wide aperture mode, now famously called portrait mode, but Apple gets credit for it... Giant companies will get the credit always. Just pic the platform you like better and use it as long as it works for you.
