Nice idea but I already have Blokada for that. There's also DNS66, Adguard, Netguard, No Root Firewall, etc, etc. Plenty of choices.

Maybe because if app use internet all the time it rain battery? Maybe because it send data when it should not? Maybe because not everyone have unlimited LTE? Maybe because LTE is really bad and not optimized and it drain battery like psycho? Maybe because apps that use internet without your knowledge are not safe? Maybe because if lots of apps use internet they clog bandwidth, and even if you have 80mbps wifi it can make your device/internet lag because it send lots of request?
Do I need write more examples or you get the idea?

Google is late as usual. Who really cares about data usage in 2017 ? Most have unlimited 4G data plan.

How can is that be possible to red how much app uses in wifi 9gag, instagram, facebook video apps you need permission to read phone calls, location,.. I think its another google spy service.

It would be better if google would fix their broken "firewall" in app section of android, where you block connection to internet for apps. It technically work but not for... google ads. I use it mostly to block internet access for apps that have those annoying big ads or video ads, ad even with blocked internet, app is still sending/receiving data to show adds.
Its especially annoying where you block cellular data, and app still use it.
