Avoiding taxes and using the new slavery model, plus crappy materials and rubbed design. This is how they are able to go cheap. I am also almost sure they have more profit then you imagine. Nobody owns a company just to eat bread:).

Companies such as Xiaomi sell their cheaper devices without profits in order to grab market share. In addition, they have far lower personnel costs, and often take shortcuts. As a result, they can set their prices lower globally.

That you keep pretending that the Finland-based company HMD is Chinese is just pathetic. It's getting tiresome. Do you even understand why they used the SD212? It's the same reason they went with 1 GB of RAM and an LTPS-LCD. Power saving.

Do you ever actually have any coherent arguments instead of personal attacks and baseless brand bashing?

Your Leagoo Kiicaa is a mix between never works well and better buy another. I am not starting with the lack of cancelation Microphone and proximity sensor, cause will be to few words to describe a boat made piece of s***. Not even gsmarena gives a damn about that toilet seat of a phone, and this guys promote crappy chinese phones like their is no tomorrow. Their are people that are more conscious about environment, slavery and place where devices are made. And this one, fulfils none of the moral ones;). Oh,or you thought you actually bought a phone made by happy people? If i were you, i would never tell anyone i support slavery and what ever is behind this so called cheap devices.

TBH i prefer working droid over newest droid. Droid 7 have been out year by now and most the bugs are fixed. I wont root my phone cause i dont need to. I have only one time tried and then i bricked the phone.

And nobody cares how well employees are paid. Otherwise they would not have there phones made in Asian countries where they can get maximum profit and Nokia brand helps to get maximum profit. While Nokia and HMD them selves dont do any buildup for any of these devices then you cant argue about how well employees get paid. Case that does not matter when they do only software for cameras and as droid is stock then they dont need to do much for that part to even.

AnonD-674280, 01 Dec 2017https://www.gearbest.com/doopro-p1-pro-_gear/ And https:... moreThat's a no-name Chinese phone with zero support and dubious quality. That's why they can keep it so cheap. If you want certified build quality and long-lasting software support, that's costly. Especially if the company in question is located in a western country and pays their employees well.

People who buy budget phones could and should absolutely care about updates, especially security updates. You won't get any of that from a no-name brand. Not everyone roots, or even know how to root. And not all devices are rootable, so that option of getting updates is a bit of a no-no. Not to mention that unlocking your bootloader can stop apps, such as banking apps, from working.

Just like no-name brands from China have their audience, devices like the Nokia 2 have their own audience. It's a sort of hassle-free device with certified build quality and support and a massive battery life. Some will find that more appealing than having slightly better specifications but being left in the water once you've paid for the device.

Double of the ram and rom as 2GB and 16GB with micro sd slot.
4200mAh battery and droid 7.1 should be enough to.
I dont see there a lot people who will go budget phone and care if it gets updates.
And well as there every year comes out new droid update that is with new name then 7.1 should be good for long time. And well you can always root newer rom on it. Like i could set droid oreo 8 on my nexus 7 2013 but i dont need it and it works fine on 6 too.

And best part with this Doopro is that you can change battery, have 2 sims and sd card in same time.

It makes more sense to buy a Nokia 2 for $99 than a iPhone X for $999. Paying so much for a phone is just plain stupid and a waste of money.

Overpriced. And how can be a replacement phone? A replacement one is usually your last one or in any case a cheap phone more usable, with better specifications and not a brick with battery.

Ok, why Honor and Huawei or ZTE brands always in price parity or even cheaper as in other countries? Maybe because they are good companies with solid production and faith in own future?
Once again - your favorite Chinese company pretending to be Finnish releases overpriced crap. Always. Without any exception. Just using fake dead brand for misinformed people. Answer just one question - who else in 2017 released sd212 crap phone? For 100 dollars or higher? Nobody.
Did you ever told here something have any sense and reason? I've never seen yet.

You also get a much better build quality and far better software support. Neither of which is cheap to supply.
