A very welcomed development, and I suggest it should be more easier to use as it target developing economies..

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2017If you have to make a separate app to reduce the payload on... moreThe difference is mostly ram usage, fewer and lighter background processes meaning the phone doesn't slow down when you run the app on low-end devices.

If you have to make a separate app to reduce the payload on your cellular data or storage, then your development team is inept and can't wrap their heads around quality over quantity.

All apps should be like this... I wish they had it in the US! Just because we have "good" LTE service and coverage doesn't mean I want the bloated and battery hungry app on my phone. I find myself going more and more to view things in a browser and never using the app.

Twitter is pretty fast and lightweight too. There are settings to limit image downloads and video autoplays. Also, Twitter is not a memory hog application. I wish I could uninstall Facebook. Twitter app is just great. No need for lite. But may be those phones with low internal memories and RAM need one.

Imo, those "Lite" versions should be the standard versions. And bloated ones should be App Plus or something...
