Yes it is pricey for that boring stock android phone which has design from 2012 with that thick bezels, no wireless charging phone, no headphone jack phone, no SD card, only 1080p screen.

The 2 and the 2XL are completely different hardware wise. Don't mix them up.
Now that thats clarified, why is the Pixel not a beast? You haven't tried the phone yet so why are you posting a personal comment on its behaviour. Why is 650$ overpriced when this year phones cost 1000$? Why is Google horrible at hardware when HTC and LG are its manufacturers.
Your points aren't valid. So is your thought about the Pixel 2 devices. Your opinion is clearly based on what Media reports and not on the phone itself. Think further next time you comment.

It doesn't matter which company phone it is. Whether its samsung's note 7 battery or iphone 6 plus bending problem or Google pixel xl 2 display and other hardware bugs.
It is not a beast. It is a overpriced piece of junk with boring stock android. I don't even want to own it.
You need to consider the attitude of google regarding their "BETA" products. They are horrible at hardware.
Now I am triggered that this phone even has fans .. lol !!

I think this phone is suitable for Google enthusiasts or the people who spend maximum time on camera. Other than it's still very expensive and why there is no headphone jack. Somehow manufacturers are under the wrong impression that removing headphone jack makes the phone more advanced. Even a phone like One plus 5T has better overall package than this.

Fuggle should stick to software and spying. Hardware is not their game.
By the way, anyone has a GOOD play store alternative? I'm gonna delete everything Google from my phone lol

I own the device so I know what Im talking about. This phone is a beast in every way. The only bugs there are (which I never experienced), are all hiccups that new phones all have. The iPhone X did the same. Just different types of bugs and less centered by media.
If you dont own it, dont say shit. Period.

I bought Pixel 2 XL 4 weeks back. Pixel 2 XL is the best Android phone I have ever used. I have used many phones including Nexus 6P, Samsung S7 Edge, Moto X3, Samsung S8+.

To the people suggesting they are doing this because the device sells bad, please explain your reasoning.
The pixel 2 and 2 xl have been sold out pretty much all the time since it's launch in Germany. I genuinely wonder why they are on sale now since the supply couldn't even keep up with the demand under the regular price.

Still very expensive. Considering a lot of problem, dull and boring design, no 3.5 mm jack this phone should cost no more than 400 USD. Yes - it has a great camera (among smartphones) but what else..? And I can buy even better camera for half of the price of this phone....
