Its funny too see the charts have to include iPhones and such. Most other reviews on camera quality don't mention any of them at the top and it is Google's Pixel and Pixel 2 alongside HTC U11 that take the lead in quality.

I don't doubt Xiaomi's made plenty of progress in cameras. Reviewers and haters have always complained about it so it must have been a priority for them to finally silence the critics. But love that it was Mi Note 3 that was selected. Fun fact to know but this year almost all the phones had the same dual camera set up. That means talking up the Mi Note 3 here means the same level will be awarded to the Mi 6, Mi 5X, Mi MIX 2 and even a couple of Redmi phones. Congratulations to Xiaomi for building a year's worth of the top of the line cameras then!

The suggested price of 410 Euros is a lot cheaper than the Flagships and if the camera holds its own and is "better or equal" to some then that's amazing. Not sure if DxO is reliable or a "tip" for review company.

i assume that mi note 3 also get the excellent display with very good color accuracy.theres 3 option for the display setting which is 1) standard color, automatic contrast.in this setting the color temperature get slight bluish at 7500 k and the contrast is excellent at around 1900k..2) standard color, increased contrast.this setting the color temperature varies from 7600 k to 7000 k and the contrast decreased at 1300k..the most exciting result we can get is at setting 3) standard color, standard contrast.the contrast is around 1900 and the screen temperature nailed at 7100k - 6600k..so if im not wrong the color accuracy at this setting should get around 2.0 - 3.0..because the display temperature is best at 6504 k and mi note 3 can get near that number..so this phone should be review by gsmarena because it got so many potential..not forget to mention about the chipset snapdragon 660 which is build from 14nm thats improve power efficiency..it also support snapdragon fast charge 3.0 which can charge the phone at 1 hour 28 minutes..

GsmA, this phone deserves to be in your reviews

The Mate 10 Pro got too much of a score on video. Let's be honest, Huawei phones are not that great when coming to video. They are good at photos.

Rex Tech, 09 Dec 2017The score is is pretty fair for Xiaomi phones but it's clea... moreDxO tested sony xz premium before it's camera patches and moreover xz premium shines when it is used at manual mode

The score is is pretty fair for Xiaomi phones but it's clear that they are downvoting and being a bad advertisement for note8 or XZ premium in terms of video recording.
XZ premium films a video of 720p@960fps and the usual 4k at 30 fps.A phone recoding that amazing can't be worse than many phones in the price segment.Same goes for the Note8 which has great OIS and camera recording.
Other than that DxOmark gives trustworthy-ish scores so you can compare sometimes if you are buying something.
Also it seems like they are tending towards benefiting Apple and Huawei.Huawei mate 10 doesn't have that good camera but it's scoring pretty high. But i don't mind,Huawei is making great phones for any price segment so it can't hurt bit advertisement for their products.

BCHLIU, 08 Dec 2017Why do people even TRUST DXOMark anymore? Their testing is ... moreWell, if you don't trust DxOMark, then see the video comparison between these two devices camera in youtube. There are plenty of them and surely they can't all lie together, especially since not all of them are well known broadcasters. Even if Xiaomi only emphasizes on better bokeh, from the footage it is likely the lens configuration or quality is different. This one is never really mentioned in specs. Even in MIUI forum Mi 6 owners also complained because they get inferior picture quality vs Mi Note 3. Now you draw the conclusion yourself.

Another booster for me to buy this beast in 12.12, hopefully I can get a big discount.

Mi note 3 rarely reviewed by tech channel in the west, but in other countries such as India and Indonesia you'll find many review and all of them give high praise to the mi note 3 camera. Although the mi note 3 has the same camera configuration with the mi 6, xiaomi has done something in the software side resulted in better camera. I understand the disbelieve considering camera is never a selling point for xiaomi's device. I never hold the mi note 3 so I don't really know first hand but i don't make a conclusion based on the previous xiaomi's device and neither should you. most of you probably never even have a xiaomi's device
