I use VLC on my iPad and MX Player on my droid, and both do a great job. Anyone saying iOS users are richer who can buy everything is definitely delusional and Android users are poor should learn to account for factors before making such generalized comments.

this app is perfect for ios. droid users can carry on with negative comments without even trying it.

Then I watched the introduction clip of the iPhone X and its new gestures (due to the removal of the physical Home Button) and I realized how wrong those people are.
For instance, on Android, app switcher is just one click of a button away, while on iOS, it requires a press and hold.
And let's not talk about split screen multitasking, shall we?

If the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are indeed the last iPhones with physical Home Button, I'd get either of them. I don't mind the bezels.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2017VlC should concentrate more on Android, and other platforms... moreiOS makes simple apps like VLC even difficult to use, if you're not prepared to be synching stuff. On my Pixel XL VLC is my go-to video player. On iOS I don't even dream about it to even bother to install the app.

You took all the words out of my mind and mouth.
There’s no point of watching 4K videos without a 4K screen, which is why I demand to provide at least 4K HDR displays on high end devices (especially tablets and laptops). Mid rangers can also at least improve to 2K HDR (not that it actually makes sense, but 4K videos will be clearer on 2K screens than 1080p screens as the former is closer to 4K than the latter).

VlC should concentrate more on Android, and other platforms.

Anyone buying an Apple device certainly can afford to buy any of the paid apps on App Store. But Android is a free OS used by people with all levels of income.
