Niko, 15 Jul 2011There's even no optical zoom in that stuff.Regarding the Data it has a big sensor, wide aperture and optical image stabilization. That's absolutly great for a phone - better data than most of the compact cameras.
Theres not always a need for zoom (see Fuji X100, LeicaX1, Sigma DP!/DP2) to make a good camera.

It's not a phone with Optical zoom cam. It's a standard Low-grade panasonic cam with GSM Antenna in it... does it have features that a normal smartphone has today like LG Optimus 2 :-|

by the way N9 is f=22mm, which means a lot wider than Panasonic. Nevertheless image stabilization is unique feature in cameraphone market which allows better photos in low light. impressive!

Nice to see that OIS is at last making an appearence. While useful perhaps, it is not the most urgently needed feature for a camera with 27 mm EFL? Still with Xenon flashes disppearing from camera-phones, anything to help grab a reasonably sharp image in low light is a plus. Just hope it filters out to the world market, preferably running Android OS.
