Cortana can now connect to your Gmail account

AnonD-722401, 14 Dec 2017Lol why do they use Cortana from halo series for the thumbnail Halo's Cortana is literally the Microsoft assistant Cortana. Same voice actor, same character. That was the whole point. Why create a new AI assistant character to compete with Siri when you already have the rights for an existing, incredibly popular AI character that has been marketed enough already for a decade. These guys can use whatever relevant thumbnail they want, especially when it's 100% relevant and IS the ACTUAL physical representation of the assistant. Good lord.

      Oh wow... Google scans your emails... woop dee do. Ever consider that your smartphone is just as bad. After all, most if not all of it's technology was developed for spying purposes.

        Microsoft tested the toxic pseudo Od called Windows 10 on Windows 8 devices, Windows 10 (malware) was so problematic rather than pull it, ( Microsoft could have incrementally add features to Windows 8) Microsoft released it on the Lumia 950 in December 2015)

        Two years later despite 4 or 5 updates still unfixable.
        Microsoft pulled out of phones altogether announcing it in a tweet

        And here they are tweaking Cortana for Google Play

            More features, less clutter, best looking interface, best email app on both mobile and Windows 10.

            Oh, and almost forgot to mention: my emails are not being scanned by Google.

              I remember when they first announced Cortana, would have bought it instantly if they used the voice from the games but a mere name drop is not worth the privacy invasion.

                        An all new level of "Ooooh, what's happening in your life, customer?" I've read the license agreement & privacy policy of Windows 10 yesterday.

                        Yes, Cortana's data is uploaded to MS website, including what you speak and what you instruct it to do.

                        Although the company says your emails and personal data won't be used to target ads at you... but it is not specified/ promised that this data won't be used/ uploaded to MS.

                        MS is not private anymore. Whether its due to CIA/ NSA's pressure or not, no idea.
