I thought smaller sized pixels produce a worse image quality. My dad had a camera wih small pixels and it produced horrid photos.

if u upload pics onto fb, they're bound to be compressed. Apple takes mediocre pics, with the fb compression, (look at anyone's fb pics) it looks weird.

my dad is haveing this fone and before appel fone, and camra is not as bettre as appel fone . my dad says appel fone is takeing in vid in 1120p, dis fone is taking in 12p.
and appel fone on uplodeing in facebook is bettre cause no other fone is doing this!!!
good camra is no good if it not uplodeing to FB

the camera not necessary these day... moreok to all those trollers, bashers and the daily gsmarena visitors...well really just to the trollers and bashers...
if you had done your research and looked up google, you'll see there have been many many comparisons between the n8 and standalone digicams and even a dslr.
You forgot the comparison gsmarena did with the sony digicam? the result of that test wasn't contentious at all...the n8 was a CLEAR OUTRIGHT winner.
THere was also a comparison between a canon (forgot which type) and the n8, and putting all setting into auto, the n8 beats the dslr in certain areas. for a phone to be able to do this...it's simply crazy. OF COURSE the n8 can't beat a dslr...you can change the settings and play around with all the different modes in a dslr machine!! but i said, when you put everything as equals, the n8 is not to be messed with.

compare the difference...you have to squint and zoom prettyyyyy hard to say something bad bt the n8...let's see your htcs, lgs, samsungs and apple do as good a job as the n8.
On top of that, the n8 is able to do video (720p)...when the n8 first came out, digicams can't do that...dslrs can't do that. And the biggest advantage is the weight....who wants to carry a dslr everynight everywhere? you're partying at night, dancing along, and you wanna be bringing a dslr?? sure if you're going on a holiday, why not, but the argument is that the n8 is an awesome camera on a phone.
@ahmed, you can't say camera isn't important. I, like many others bought the n8 for the camera ability. I hardly ever use the browser; merely to check facebook and mail, which the n8 is more than capable. I'm not gonna waste my hard earned money to pay an overpriced machine which can't even set my own music as my ringtone, nor can it act as a portable hard drive. Sure the n8 has several shortcomings, but so too does the other phones.

so far i stuck with my motorazer v8, super pictures with resolutions of upto 1280*960, but carl xeiss and cameras gotta think twice- no equal

However, I'm still really fond of the old Samsoung Innov8. That was one of the first truly superior 8mp devices that really stood out.

Aplle used sony camera on iphone 4! The iphone 4's picture quality is the best! Samsung is the winner and apple loosing??? You are not complete kid. I had Samsung with 8mpixel camera and the iphone 4 is much much better in video quality and picture quality too! I hate the samsung's video quality on HD and the sounds are very noisy.
