I am not paranoid and I don't work in some important place where I need that security. These work places usually have company phones to if they need more security.

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2017Stop spreading false information. Nokia and HMD are Finnish... moreMaybe look what he replayed on and then say false or not. He was talking about the China phone I have and not about the Nokia. And every part that's in every mobile or electronics device is made in China. Who has the brand name is irrevelent and what country has the brand name.

Everything is built in Asian factories either the hardware and so on. Nokia does only CAMERA APPLICATION !!! Nokia don't build there own devices as they don't have factories anymore that build devices. If everything is made in China as everything electronics then who really cares where the brands origin country is ?

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2017Wait till it is updated to Android 8.0 Oreo GO.. Then it wi... moreFirst of all oreo go isn't out yet and even the new oreo that is out is beta right now.
Talking about windows phones that went in a market in 3-4 years ago. Updates on these old windows phones do are so slow that you cant use your phone 1-2 hours cause of one update. Think of when you need to make a factory reset as these all were first windows 8 then 8.1 and then win 10.

Last time I made factory reset I wasted over half a day on updating the phone to latest win 10 one update at a time so there was like 5-6 of them and everyone of them took at least hour to install.

With Nokia 2 price in Estonia is lowest 109 euro. It does not have anything included like TF card or cover. I bought a china phone for 70 euro as pre order and it have 3GB ram, 32GB rom, MTK6750T that's good enough for me. Rear is dual camera 13+2mp and front camera is 13mp. Does decent pics better then my last phone Nokia 830. This Leagoo Kiicaa Mix has 5.5 inch screen with FHD Sharp ips screen and has 3000mAh battery in it.
It come with a case in the box. It has even fingerprint reader in the front. Weight of it is maxiumum of 10 grams more then Nokia 830 and length is only 2-3mm more. So basically I have a 5.5 inch screen phone that is compact and it has no sharp corners. It was paint to get my 830 out of pocket sometimes cause of the sharp corners it has that got stuck in pocket.

Yes it has cons like no 3.5mm jack and call speaker is in the phones corner and on top of the edge pointing up and not on the end of screen like on standard phones. In the shop was written that the phone comes with type-c to 3.5mm converter but that was a lie. But well who cares it's something 1 euro to buy anyways.

To talk about built quality then it's fine on my standards and I cant pick on it. Pretty good built quality and feels same like my Nexus 7 2013 built quality.

yes .I am also waiting android Oreo go update. and still using lumia 730 which is smooth for basic use.

Then it will fly~ Remember those Nokia 830,735,730? They also use quad core A7 with 1GB of Ram.. And they fly~ because of WP.. Android 8.0 Oreo GO is designed to be lightweight like WP and use less internal storage than ever.. Nokia is already ahead in the future.. The reason this chipset is chosen because not only it's cheap cost and low power consumption.. It is also because Android 8.0 GO.. Nokia 2 will fly~~

But apart from that not many people complain since they just use their phone for light every day stuff, and they don't want to mess withthe bugs an update can bring, or learn to cope with new ones...........

I am using Nokia 2 since 15 days and noted the below points
                      Pros
                      a. Good Battery-backup (Apprx 2 days with heavy usage)
                      b. Build Quality is steady
                      c. CAM (Selfie and Rear) is fine for this range of phone
                      Cons
                      a. RAM and Internal Memory could have been 2Gb and 16Gb
                      b. Nearly 50% default Apps are used in Internal Memory
                      c. Memory Card could have been better if it was bundled in the box, to tide-over 8Gb Internal Memory
Verdict: Good for Low end users (only for calls, sms and minimal CAM usage)

Snapdragon 212 is far too slow, so the longer batterylife is not enough to compensate for the horrible user experience, it lags all the time doing everything/anything! Those who buy this phone will be so frustrated that they very soon will buy anoyher better phone, so they end up paying more than they would have if they had bought that better and a little bit more expensive phone to begin with! It is expenisve to be poor!

Anonymous, 17 Dec 2017Lol, Nokia made by hmd is a Chinese manufacturerI suppose the old Nokias were Vietnamese phones, given that they were manufactured in Vietnam?

FinnishInquisition, 17 Dec 2017Do those devices also come with an impressive build quality... moreSOT time: perhaps
                                Endurance:Plausible
Extensive update support: you made my day my dear chap.
                                Explaining:
SOT time: the 212 is very battery friendly. using 4 cores of A7 (the die size of the A7 is REALLY tiny. tinier than the A35 even. so even at reasonable clockspeed (in our case: 1.2 GHz) the drain is measly. So considering it's SOT endurance test. an estimate for using the phone for social messaging, calling, and listening to music. would estimate according to my calculations to about 9:55h by avarage. (worst scenario is 8:49h, best is 11:06h)
                                hence the answer is perhaps.
battery life: considering the last answer. and the fact the components DO NOT consume a lot of power. a beefy 4,100 mAh battery can certainly withstand 2 days of battery life. (from 100% to about 10%) in 74% of the cases.with best battery life scenary reaching over 6 days of battery life, and 19h at worst. (According to GSMarena and tweaking details accordingly)
                                as for the updates:
the answer is pretty obvious. IT'S ANDROID! end of story.
P.S. this is referring to the Nokia 2. if you'd like to have the answers to other devices. just reply. XD

So yeah , the last-and-lowest 2 Nokia phones , Nokia 3 and 2 will come last to get the taste of Android 8.0 Oreo , as they have MediaTek MT6737 (3) , which MTK has a-long-reputation known as charged manufactured to get their sources and old-SOC of 212 (2) , and 212 has quite of trouble keeping up with updates starting Android 7 Nougat , as well low pricing .
