Tbh for the £199 it cost it has been brilliant.

Oh no, I don't actually believe that honour phone will have a same price tag as the Mate. This Honor phone is a lite version so it would have a price of Honer 6x or even lower than that.

The thing where SD excels is in support, specially 3rd-party ROMs. Now that is the reason I pretty much only buy SD SoCs -- but project Treble may change this. Huawei are doing a brilliant job with Treble, let's see what the future brings.

Considering you have the same task, 950 can complete it almost twice faster, even if it consumes more power. 659 will consume less, but considering that it will do the same task almost twice slower, it will consume about the same amount of energy.
Anyway, they should design a new chip (670?), as 659 is just a boosted 650, as are 655 and 658. All the same 2 year old chip.

This is a boring piece of crap!, Huawei are being lazy now, developed the Kirin 650 waaay back and ever since they are using it in all their and honor's mid-range phones either vanilla or with a bit of overclocking. It can barely match the 625 and it has throttling , I have seen it throttle in the honor 6x which I had for a while, so they need to move on and invest in something new

Kirin 659 is a bit underpowered. Wish they used old Kirin 950 instead or developed a new 670 series. Something to run against SD660.

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word smartphone? ASK me and the answer would be- "Performance".
So if you are one of me then, this one is not for you. Anything other than snapdragon is not acceptable at all. All that CPU power is wasted on something that exaggerating. Buy something based on OS. #Stockrocks
