I can't understand wich memory type use a8. In androbench the result is seq read 300 mb/s and seq wright 100 mb/s. So is this a eMMC or UFS.

It does have it beat in RAM/Storage in the U.S., but per the raw benchmarks, it can't even beat a SD 626 or a 630. So I am paying for screen, water/dust resistance (which both HTC and Moto did for cheaper)? Why does it exist?

Exynos 7885 is quite powerful mid-range AP: Geekbench: single 1490, multi: 4172. It consists of 2 Cortex-A73 cores (@2.1GHz)+ 6 Cortex-A53 cores (@1.5 Ghz) + Mali-G71 GPU in 14 nm.
It is very similar to old Snapdragon 653 (28 nm year 2016) , Geekbench: single 1438, multi: 4695. Better than Snapdragon 625 in single score: Geekbench: single 718, multi: 4057. But quite inferior to Snapdragon 660 (14 nm year 2017) : Geekbench: single 1588, multi: 5455.

So this is about to be a $500-$600 midrange device. 6GB RAM, water and dust resistance...yep. Samsung is about to make the midrange expensive.

Ha ha, samsung is a joke. Paying 35% just for brand with reduced specifications and average battery life. My best decision was to buy a xiaomi redmi note 4 instead of a samsung one. Best decision ewa. Extreme battery life, fast android, no problems at all. Camera 7/10 . And the price is a joke to. he he. Good luck with samsung phones. Im out of this crap.
