Since my 8.4" M3 and the new M5 are 16x9, a wide screen movie will be very near the size it would be on a larger tablet. I like is the sharp high resolution screen. And this tablet is much lighter than a 10" tablet.

Totally agree with Travis. For me 7 inch is just the right size. I also started with a Samsung P1000 and I'm using a mediapad x2 at this moment, witch after almost 3 years still is the world strongest 7 inch phablet. I'm longing for the X2 successor.

Sounds nice but would want a 9 or 10 inch version for real media viewing. Unfortunate that it's one of the smaller tablets.

Others think it's too small at 8.4,I think it's too big,7 inch is just right, small enough to pocket, big enough to view stuff on comfortably, still using my nexus 7lte,still works fine..
Even got and use our old Samsung galaxy tab gtp1000,still works fine after battery renewed for £8..
Only problem with both of them is no front stereo speakers, but Bluetooth speaker solves that problem..

Still no tablet out there to beat my shield k1.

              Sounds nice.
Now that Netflix picture in picture is supported with Android 8.1, I want to see more option

Very nice, please make it with a USB-Type C charging port. The only thing I don't like with my MediaPad M3 is the Micro USB connector, it doesn't fit in with anything else I own.

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2017FOR FU*K SAKE. Can't they make a single decent 10.1" tablet... moreIt's perfect for me. actually. my phone is decently sized. I know, I recently moved to Note 8 (and not regretting!) but a COMPACT TABLET is perfect.
anyhow. for those who complain. just craft your own tablet. XD

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2017No kirin 970, no 10.1"/12"Atleast it's a powerhouse. say thank you for that! the Kirin 960 is the same level as the snapdragon 820 in the galaxy tab S3 (in general preformance. both score about 130k in AnTuTu)

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2017FOR FU*K SAKE. Can't they make a single decent 10.1" tablet... moreYou right, but atleast we got an update to a medium tablet, cause M3 and new M5 are the only good portable tablets (if you dont want to pay 800$ for S3, or buy old mini 4).
I have one and i dont use a smartphone, cause i dont need it, my tablet is doing everything what i want(music, games, browser, videos, files and file system etc...), for calls i use old Lg G.

FOR FU*K SAKE. Can't they make a single decent 10.1" tablet? Nooo.... they have to always keep that phablet 8.4" size. I don't want a second smartphone. I want a normal sized decent tablet for media consumption.
