Samsung only copies Apple.
It can't initiate something by its own.
That's why front stereo speakers won't be implemented until Apple would do it.
And I'm not an Apple fanboy. I hate Apple - but do appreciate it.

Samsung needed to wait with the S9 because of the fingerprint technology;
now way I'll buy the S9 with the fingerprint sensor on the back (again to close to the camera) when all the new phones will have this sensor embedded on the screen itself

If Samsung is going to make this flagship a winner then they need to put in at least 6g Ram and 128 Rom as standard, Also there should be a separate memory card slot not the hybrid slot....
Last but not least you have to have at least 4000 mAh battery!

They were in fact one of the only brands who bothered spending money on adding good quality DAC's. The reason Samsung isn't talking about this anymore is because, it's old news for them. Ten years old news.

They focused more on things that really matters like design, camera, or screen. Samsung's sound specs are not special like LG's quad dac or having a stereo speakers but i don't recall anyone (outside audiophiles) saying that Samsung's sound quality is bad. So I don't think samsung will level up their audio game anytime soon. Their move when acquiring harman is the same move like what apple did when they acquire beats. They use it to sell their products in their store and to bundle some "audio branded" accessories with their phone on launch promotion. Not yet a serious software or hardware implementation like what LG or HTC did. IMO it's just because audio quality is still relatively for a limited market.

prefer the S8, more balanced
