Also tried the F5 from retail stores and similar story, just different brand and different phone. Heck, even the J7 Pro produces something a bit more realistic.
Of course nothing could beat the XA1 Ultra. Front camera is the same hardware used in the 2015 flagships G4, V10, S6 series, and Note 5 but only slower f2.0 lens.

XZ Premium, U 11 and Axon 7 have the best speakersThey only appreciate loudness and not care about quality at all. In that case, they surely would love to have a cr@p-sounding speaker aka "Samsung Galaxy" phones with unpleasant loudness over true sound quality speaker aka "Sony Xperia" phones aka "ZTE Axon 7" aka "Razer Phone" aka "HTC BoomSound" phones.
I once tried the XZ Premium's speaker in a retail store, comparing it to the sound of S8, S8+, and Note 8, and biased or not, the XZ Premium destroys them all.
Not in loudness, but the quality remains unmatched.
I'll have to try the Razer phone as well, with its Dolby Atmos speakers that seems to be the only one that's actually competing with Sony in terms of audio quality.
Such a shame, that a non-audiophile brand could make much better sounding phone than the one that owns an audiophile company *cough Samsung acquiring JBL for the $100 AKG Earbuds*

Wth?! S8? and Vivo?! In this list? Xperia XA1 Ultra can simply put those phone in trash when in comes to front camera, i just visited a local store a month ago and i compare phones and undoubtably XA1Ultra has the best Selfie camera. Plus S8 front cam is a trash... just a slight movement and you can obviously see the blurr. Then Vivo makes you look like a person who drink a bottle of glutathione. Well i’m a fan of sony but i’m not that bias. I’m not going to be angry if i didn’t see a comparisons of those phones in person in the first place.

What a joke... Few of these phones deserve to be here.
Where's the Sony XA1 Ultra with its 1/2.6" sensor, OIS and front flash?
What about the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro with its dual pixel and large 1/2.55" sensor, one of the widest f/1.8 aperture, a secondary front camera and a front flash?
And all these Meitu phones, which have been the best at selfies for quite some time... Let's take the Meitu V6: dual pixel 1/2.55" sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, secondary front camera and front flash.

That is a joke... S8 and N8 have a crap selfie cam.
That ofter uses ISO above 120 even in outdoor daylight shots.
Overexpose the background easily.
Really bad stabilization and lack of HDR.
My XA1 Ultra humiliates all these phones on the list...
16MP, front flash and OIS..
HDR works on auto mode
