Read the "English" Chinese newspapers. I read it a few weeks ago ( I think it was "South China Daily" I feel like looking for it right now. But, if one needs to know: Google is your friend

So basically, LeEco recently (as in last few weeks Nov 2017) received a large cash infusion. What the article does not say is that the company name will likely change, and the primary goal seems to be saving the LeTV aspect of the business.

So....this news from last January. How is the investment going now? I see no news of Leeco doing anything grand or anything. Must be a failed investment. Btw, all Leeco phone is known to have terrible screen color calibration. Cheap and flimsy feels. Way behind in the innovation.

        They're still a thing?

At least state side their phones are more of a joke than anything else. Seems like a high return rate on Amazon for the few they do manage to sell. but they do cram some nice specs into a low cost phone... that doesn't work.

But if they make decent hardware at low price (and make it available in western markets), their devices will sell. And popular devices get custom ROMs from developer community, so we're good.

Start making decent phones, then we'll talk. Preferably no backwards designs and software anymore. That'd be a start.
