iPhone is only ranked high in US/UK because of marketing efforts across websites, TVs.. It doesn't work in other regions -- as consumers has better choices!

V30 and Mi6 deserve even better rankings. IMO they are better than the two Nokias up in the list (a long time Nokia fan). The flagship Nokia lacks refinement and 6 has some wrong decisions like chipset and price.

Sony is preferred by grown ups who don't have time searching for awkwardly placed fingerprint scanners, iris scanners, face ids, animojis etc. Actually what they need is a solidly built device which doesn't lag and receives quickest security updates and firmware upgrades. Now you know which devices teenagers like?

That means Indians aren't blind enough to buy iPhone, just for the sake of it. May be they are getting better value out of those on the list compared to an iPhone.

Sony XZ Premium on the 3rd place is a surprise than Nokia, LG and Samsung; which were expectedly to be among top 10.
iphone X and iphone 8/Plus prices are the main reason why it is not even on the list. A recent controversy over Apple slowing down old iphones intentionally is contributing to this poll's results.
