Nevertheless, one cannot simply ignore that the Galaxy S8 was sold in many places of Europe at similar prices than the OP5(T). That's the real issue here, in those places the sacrifices OnePlus made towards pricing (namely worst camera and no IP certification) do make the difference.
If they are going for something novel (such as the under-screen fp sensor) then they should take this change to either: (1) deliver a full-blown and uncompromised flagship at its proper price; (2) just rollback to previous pricing with additional compromises, because they aren't that competitive when traditional flagships cost the same price.

Oneplus has to decide to which of those customers they want to appeal, if they go for cheap, medium or premium. They can't make everybody happy...

If OnePlus makes a phone with the same specs and build of the Samsung, will you buy one then? Ofcourse you will not because you are a Fanboy and you are just buying the logo.
So let the others decide what they want in a phone be it Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Axon,Lenovo etc. Why are you eating on something you are never going to buy anyway (I know you are lying about using the OnePlus)

It's still a physical surface ... moreIf fingerprint sensor works any place on the screen it'd be good, but if we should put a finger to specific spot of the screen we can't place the finger without looking into the screen, that's not the case with physical one.
I really like the idea but backside placement is more comfortable for some demographic, yet manufacturers ditch it just for showcasing on-screen sensor, it doesn't mean better usability.
if this sensor can detect fingerprint in small specific spot only, I hope it just keep both sensors at the same time.

One Plus is always cheap quality phone. They are getting attention from customer with hardware specs always. May be this is another idea to loot cuatomers again. 4 major drawbacks of OnehPlus Phones.
1. Quality of materiel is very cheap, just look. Color will shade with no short time ( i experienced personally and no big response from support). I have seen mine and couple of my friends ohones broken for a small fall from 2,3 feet height.
2. Oxygen OS is another biggest draw back. Its far behind when compared to other mods available in other comoany mobiles.
3. Support is another biggest drawback. You need to run around for service or need to pay a lot
4. New models will be released in no short time with same price. 5T released after 4,5 months of 5 and 6 planned in less than 6 months from 5T.
I am a gadet lover, i do change mobile every year. I had worst experience from OnePlus X and OnePlus 5. Hope this information helps everyone

OIS, and better camera (especially for for night shots), preferably 1000fps slow-mow
IP68
Front stereo speakers
SD-card slot
4K OLED screen (perfect for VR) - that's a fantasy. I am skeptic that it would happen even for the Galaxy S9 and even the Note9...
