Well. Who cares about signal if it is working good? Also you can do it with an app.

FinnishInquisition, 27 Dec 2017https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/what-do-the-bars-on-yo... moreI read the article and it definitely doesn't say that the signal reception display on the main screen/settings is "Highly inaccurate" it does mention though that it tends not to be completely accurate the article also doesn't mention any about what will happened to the bars displayed at the main screen if they manage to pull this out, so we don't really know the whole story to be able to come up with conclusion I guess

L337, 26 Dec 2017So let me get this straight: carriers want to HIDE the sign... moreSimple. to allow atleast the ability to pay and see the signal strength. (Without ads. that is)

Jus_bnfif, 25 Dec 2017Worrying about all the wrong things. It does turn on a lightbulb though... If you're thinking the same as me... perhaps the signal in the status pane will STAY. but that cryptic data of signal strength in the settings menu will disappear. and then it's actually better for us users! (reason: One less mystery! :D)

So let me get this straight: carriers want to HIDE the signal strenght in the Settings menu, but third-party apps can still obtain it. How does this make sense?

Actually this is a good idea, network, SIM card or signal strength Android is required to be anonymous, no one knows and it is safe from hacking, but the problem is that third party apps make it still not safe, if its purpose for Android security by hiding signal or network of all hacking, as is the VPN or Tor browser with Orbot Proxy, but I do not know if that's what it is means.

hoping there's a more Android feature more useful in the future.
