But a Rolex is a true luxury product, which you wear not too often and you can have one for decades and maybe give it to your Children/Grandchildren, but an iPhone 4 you dont use much longer than maybe 2 years from now, if you really dont want to change your phone after just 1 year... So you see, such a phone is complete nonsense and to compare it with a Rolex makes me and my friends here really laugh!!!

People complaing about the price just dont get it. Its the same as buying a nice rolex. You pay alot more for something wich does exactly the same as a 20 dollar swatch, but still people buy 'em and the market for it's pretty big too.

It has to do with wanting to stand out/be different/get noticed. Those things cost money. You see it with designer clothes, luxery cars, expensive watches, all of those cost alot more than their cheap siblings but still some people want the expensive one.

                      poinless
I won't pay 30,000 for phone, even if the clock will tick for at least 10 years, the phone itself won't keep ticking for that long or evem half that time. beside, the iphone 5 will be out soon, so no point to spend your time designing and building this phone.
