AnonD-648036, 31 Dec 2017Its honestly not that bad. If you're satisfied with the G3,... moreThat means you say the One Plus 5t does not have anything to say about Samsung, but I do not have Apple, but I think it's unlikely that you're putting 5t in front of the Koreans. You'll be on the same site as gsm and the LG V30, 5T, and note8. Compare and see what's better with sharpness and sharpance, or, for example, with the mate10pro hawaii, with its niche chip, making extensive advertising, and you can clearly see 5t brighter and brighter shots, and the colors are closer to reality !!! In my opinion, the problem of one plus company is a massive and gorgeous advertisement. All the comparisons are all the same. One plus Android phones are always one of the best. You also have fast and unprocessed processing both on your camera and on the screen. Interestingly, the Samsung One Plus displays a proprietary display!

Its honestly not that bad. If you're satisfied with the G3, you'll be very satisfied with the 5T. I know because I too upgraded from G3 to 5T. Its not comparable to Samsung or Apple in neither camera nor price..

AnonD-535300, 30 Dec 2017So are the Cameras good or not? I ordered this phone becaus... moreNot at all. OnePlus 5T has disastrous camera setup and highly underperforms compared to any other flagship. It even lags behind many midrange smartphones in the camera department. If you r looking for a good camera on a smartphone, then OP5T is a big no. Go to oneplus forum, people are so pissed off with the camera. I am currently using OP5T for the last few days and very unhappy with the performance of the camera and will sell it very soon because for me, good camera is very important in a smartphone. Other areas OP5T shines though.

So are the Cameras good or not? I ordered this phone because i figured Im getting pretty good camera for a smaller price and these 1000 dollar phones. I currently have a LG G3 and ppl still thinks that it takes very good shots when I show them. Are the 5T's cameras better than the G3?

if you look closely, it's for 3rd party camera APPS. Not a single DEV said it's to improve the stock oneplus Camera but yes, the compatibility with other Apps found on playstore and apk's on the web.
What a piece of junk misleading Post.

Kangal, 29 Dec 2017This device has some mixed reviews. Some say the OnePlus 5... moreI didn't test the OP5, but since I have the 5t, I can say with absolute certainty that everything about this phone is flagship level except for the cameras and the lack of IP rating. And even regarding the cameras, they only fall behind the 700-1000$ smartphones in some low light situations, and sometimes in 4k video quality. If you NEED the best cameras on a smartphone, or if you NEED some kind of water resistance, don't get the 5t. Otherwise, there's no real reason to pay 60-100% more for another flagship IMO

Kangal, 29 Dec 2017This device has some mixed reviews. Some say the OnePlus 5... moreI had SGS2 through SGS7 edge without skipping a single 1 in between(didn't buy S8 seies due to awkward fingerprint scanner position & I hate bixby).
I must say this as I am into review gadgets: S6,S6 edge, s6 edge+, s7, s7 edge all produced clearer, sharper, detailed pictures than OnePlus 5T. And when it comes to low light/dark/artificial lighting conditions, this OP5T lags far far behind than those galaxy series.Broad daylight pics of OP5T's rear cam are good though without over-saturating the colours like the galaxies, but even then, in many occasions with several objects back & forth at a distance, it produces oil paint like colours here & there and are absolutely unacceptable.
The OTA update version 4.7.6 on OP5T introduced ZERO improvements on the rear camera performance(excluding making it little stable) but indeed improved the selfie cam.

This device has some mixed reviews.
Some say the OnePlus 5 had a horrible camera, and the 5t is much much better than it and is in flagship-level (Note8 level ?). Others say the 5t is barely improved over the OnePlus 5, and is only midrange level (SGS6 level ?).

Either way, I know its better than the Essential Phone and the Razer Phone.
But how does it compare to the SGS8's (or S7, they're same) good-but-not-great camera?

And if this update improves the camera noticeably, will GSMArena update their review?

                          1. Appreciate these small & useful updates.
                          2. The rear camera has been a disaster for OnePlus 5T in low light conditions. OnePlus advertised so much for this rear cam but it is nowhere near the cam performance of other flagships and it even lags behind many mid range smartphone cameras. I have a feeling that OnePlus either cannot provide any proper software update due to the mediocre and gimmicky rear cam setup or OnePlus is concentrating on upcoming OnePlus 6 to equip it with a better camera.

                          1+2= Sad.
