They know how to manipulate people. They use marketing photos in which the phone's glass body and it's curves are reflecting something. It's what car commercials use. And that's why people buy it.

While in fact, the glass unibody and bezelless, curved edge design is the worst possible design for a phone.

Samsung don't have time to copy iPhone X so they stayed with Galaxy S6/S7/S8 design for another year

Anonymous, 02 Jan 2018"Beast" You do realize that s8 has the same raw performa... moreWhat did I just read? Are you saying a Snapdragon 835 is significantly faster than a Snapdragon 835? All the phones you mentioned are equally as good, if not worse, than the Galaxy phones that Samsung released in 2017 in terms of hardware.

            https://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/OnePlus-5T,Samsung-Galaxy-S8/phones/10695,10311

Apart from a slightly faster CPU clock, more RAM (Note 8 has 6GB, and to be honest, RAM isn't the real bottleneck), and slightly more antenna bands, the S8 is superior in hardware vs. the OnePlus 5T. There are other things that aren't mentioned in this spec sheet, like how the 5T's screen is terribly calibrated (bad color temperature, smaller brightness range), and of course there is IP68 water & dust resistance on the S8. I just don't understand how you reached such a terrible conclusion.

I agree, phones should max out at 6" screen and around 180g over that is a tablet and you can already buy them.

Samsung does not copy apple in the slightest. Apple like to feel as if they leading the way for the future, but really they removing stuff. In my opionion Samsung have managed to achieve a better phone then Apple for less money. When comes too Bezeless designs. Who copied who?.

I hope the 3.5mm lowlifes are happy with this

Alexander, 02 Jan 2018UGLY/ not worth the upgrade.... if you want the best from s... moreI own the note 8. and as much as I love that bolster in preformance compared to the S8 I had. it's way too big... (the dual camera is cool though.) I bought it because I wanted to check how is it to use a note. and it's not comfy for me. >.>

Funfact at launch for regular model!
                        S7 carried $700+ price tag
                        S8 carried $800+ price tag
S9 will probably carry $900+ price tag seeing sammy's A8/8+ carries $560-600+ price tag

Andy, 02 Jan 2018So no under glass embedded fingerprint reader then..?Nope. it'll be probably in Note 9 or S10.

MR CASANOVA, 02 Jan 2018this is just the start lets see what they have in store for... more"Beast"

You do realize that s8 has the same raw performance as s7, right?

If you want something beastly on android you should either go OnePlus or Huawei, certainly not Korean. Koreans lost the crown in 2016.

Tech sites are still dealing with Samsung in 2018 for the same reason that they did with Nokia in 2011. They were too late to realie that they are not relevant anymore...

skipping this one, already have the s8, if the changes are minor whats the point? More battery, dual camera, smaller size 5.5 inch, dual stereo speakers is what I want. Goodbye S8 indeed. Dont even care about the edge screen since its a headache for the screen protectors.

If this is real then they really like it when you smudge up the camera with your greasy fingerprints. Just being cheap by putting it in the same module as the camera. FAIL
