If they launch this phone in a slow pace in other countries, then it is a big failure for them. Waiting so long makes it less desirable :(

NOKIA, can you please release a sexy red and a dark teal version of 6 and the 9 when released please.

Sooner or later it may chance, but at this moment 16:9 is just much more sensible.

Dan808, 02 Jan 2018They should price it a little less than the current Nokia 6... moreThey will reduce the 2017 price, and have the 2018 at the old price. This is a good strategy.

Pricing it lower than the old price will degrade the brand value

Anonymous, 02 Jan 2018Well, they creating segmentation.. Thats why the 1st gen h... moreI don't think so. If they want segmentation, they already have Nokia 7 covering what the new Nokia 6 will have. IMO, it just hardware refresh like any other OEM did (iPhone, SGS, etc). Maybe 2018 is the refresh for 6, 5, and 3. 2019 might be for 8, 7, and 2. 2020 back to 6, 5, and 3... and so forth. Dunno... Just my wild guess :3

Thats why the 1st gen have slow cpu.
And the 2nd gen (updated version) have faster cpu.

But I will wait to 3rd gen nokia with 18:9 design and bigger screen.

sadh, 02 Jan 2018Our country is always at getting the phone :’) But i think... moreWell... Nokia 6 is just released around October in our country. I don't think they stupid enough to release the new Nokia 6 as soon as possible since that would eat up the old Nokia 6's share. I think this is the reason why they release existing Nokia 6 only in two color (black and silver). Maybe they didn't plan to sell many Nokia 6 devices all along since the new one already on the corner.

Looking forward to seeing it. It should have in theory similar battery life to the Mi A1 and that's no slouch. A better chipset with 14 nm tech should lead to a better battery life. Plus the other good thing is that physically it will be less tall. I was hoping for a less wide design with rounded edges as the current model is a little too wide to hold and the flat edges make it a little uncomfortable to hold.

The Nokia 5 2018 should also be good as that might have a similar battery but smaller size footprint with a 450 or 630 chipset. The battery life on that should be super and it should be easy to hold.

It is a great upgrade. the 6 was already a successful, solid device. Less bezel, legend solidness and a faster processor and leave the 9 for its own platform.

FPS on back side.. won't be able distinguish the phones in future by the looks of Front panel.. I feel like it is end of impressive design ( At least on front panel)... Just a thought..

Does the fact that it will have the same screen mean that it will have the same shift to cyan as the 2017 edition, or does it only mean that it will remain the same size and keep being IPS LCD?
